I use a 3-3-5 too if it looks like they run a lot, or a 3-4 and blitz the ilbs and match up a speedy olb/fs in the 3rd wr.

I have a scrimmie today. I have the 3-3-5 Stack Zone option at 100% for the Single Back set. Hopefully the other team runs a nice selection of plays from it.

What does Stack Zone mean to you? What are your actual settings?

the WR Screen was stopped dead in the water

this was in today's semi so there was no room for error

Game goes off in a little more than an hour [5PM CST].

I will post any highlights. As I said, best case is the WR Screen and other plays from the Single Back set.

4-2-5 Cover 0. It looks like the FS is in on a blitz, which has him clear the blocking WR. The LB's seem to fall back in zone, too.

The trick isn't to stop the Screen play; its to stop the Single Back formation which runs the Screen.

thats easy....'
depending on how many WRs they have if they have 2 they cant run the screen...so having 3 CBs on the SB formation makes perfect sense...

if they have 2 WRs blitz the fastest CB from weak side....make the LB shift to the strong side so what ever they run you will still stop em....play underneath coverage as man to man....so the FS and SS chases the HB or any TE

I played the 4-2-5 cover zero, but why did my FS cover the #2 receiver on the right instead of the #1 receiver on the left?

I think my next attempt is to try a 3-3-5 Cover 0 [Run Stack/Man Under] and blitz CB1. This should have CB1 clear the blocking WR and have the FS up to the line. The trick here is to have an agile CB so he can affect the pass and go for a pick [FS should count for help over the top, no matter the coverage settings].

When the ball is in the air, the ROLB should be making his break, the CB1 is a couple steps off the catching WR, but has to change directions and the fastest player on the field, the FS, is close to the receiver.
