Kenny, trust me when I say I know how you feel. I got the Kings at the end of season 2. We lost 40 regular season games consecutively. We have fought hard. You guys will be there next season.

Yeah, one thing is for sure I'm REALLY proud of my team, it's GMs and it's players.
I'm far more bummed for them than myself. I know we'll be back, but I want them to have some fun and glory too. I had a coach once who said "playoffs are payoffs" - so true!

Here's the expected reply I received from support overnight FYI.

Hi Kenny. Wow! That's quite a conference! I don't think I've ever seen so many good teams in the same conference. Anyway, since those teams all had the same record, the tie breakers come in to play. I'll post those below, but head-to-head applies when there are only 2 teams with the same record. In this case, as you know, there were 5 teams with the same record. Because of that, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head wins versus teams with the same record. Each of these teams finished 2-2 against the 10-6 teams, so it goes on to total points scored. Especially in a case like this, when the competition was so close. For example, your team did beat California, but lost to San Diego, but San Diego was beaten by California. You also beat Louisiana, but lost to Northwood, while Northwood and San Diego were both beaten by Louisiana. I haven't counted the total points scored but, if that didn't settle the tie, it would go on to total points allowed.


How are ties broken in the standing?
-----a. If there are only 2 teams, it's just based upon the head-to-head matchup
-----b. If there are more than 2 teams, then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. # of head-to-head wins against the other teams with the same record
2. # of points scored
3. # of points allowed.

Kenny, I was nervous when we dropped that last game to California...(which i was sure would be much closer, and was pretty sure we'd win...I was wrong). I saw that there was a 5 way tie for 4 spots. So I went through and figured out the points total.

We were all 2-2 against each other, which I think is pretty amazing, and speaks for the strength of this conference (as opposed to the top heavy east).

how do you think we here in springfield feel bout how tough this conference is... if there was a USA BB we'd be on our way down there.
