Ultimate defense thread: How do you stop the Strong I HB Slam?

Just as I thought, no solutions.

Easy, Quit.

3-4 blitzing the LB's cover 1. or 3-3-5 works if you got the right personal. This is all considering the players you have. Each team is different and what works for one team might not work for another.

I'm thinking you mean the off-tackle, not the slam.

Either way, 4-3 Strong Shift, MLB+SS blitz

You can even go to Cover 1 and have the SS closer to the line.

if you have the personnel you could even go 3-4. NT and both DEs need to be strength based. and shift the LBs to find gaps. high vision ILB and quick SS blitz can exploit gaps

last season when the OCs couldn't pick which way to run and which play to call we used a dime! yes a DIME to get TFLs lol:

but we'd never ever use this scheme in season 6 haha. don't ever try that scheme this season or beyond as you will get burned lol. once the season is over i'll be tinkering with some nickels
