Does anyone have higher jumping? Mine is at 10 and I can't help but think that no matter how strong or agile my guy is, he can't be very athletic with a 10inch vertical.

I'm not advocating soft capping it...but has anyone added a point here or there and noticed an effect?

I've been training it with Catching all season. I'm sure it couldnt hurt but there are better things to use Skill Points on.

If you are used in the passing game, I would definitely train it, but otherwise I wouldn't worry about it for a FB.

I think jumping probably helps w/ rushing, but haven't noticed much w/ my FB (30 jumping). It does make a difference in receiving though so if your FB is involved in the passing game then definitely worth training it down the road. I wouldn't put any SP into it though.

Think about how many training days you invested to get that up to 30 and you haven't noticed much effect yet with rushing. Now imagine if you had invested those training days elsewhere--I bet the payoff would have been more effective. Again, I'm asked the same question in the HB forum and there weren't any supporters there of putting points into jumping.

You don't know until you try. My largest training gains were for jumping and catching so that is what I've trained for a while. I also suspect that jumping helps w/ acceleration. No proof yet, but we'll see.

I think jumping is critical, I'm going to soft cap it soon on my guy, that and a maxed out dive for yards, by level 40 atleast

John Madden: Yeah he just kinda did a little skip and a hop there and whooop, over the O and D line, right into the secondary

the biggest gain I have seen from jumping is in receiving. It also seems to help a little on short yardage in heavy traffic but that could be strength or Dive 4 Yardage too, or a combination of them all.
