1. Rochester 14-1. The only team not to lose a game in regulation this season, Rochester has beaten 2 of the top 4, and lost an overtime thriller to the other. Their next week's game against Port Moody has "trap game" written all over it after a hard fought, prime time, emotional victory.
2. Florida 14-1. The Dogz took out their pain on the Port Moody Pain, shutting them out and dominating them. They finish with a cakewalk against the Little Knights and will have homefield throughout the playoffs.
3. Reno 12-3. Owners of the conferences longest winning streak at 8, the Knights beat up on the Black Flag. The Knights are on a roll and are going to go into the postseason as a favorite to win the conference crown.
4. Yancy Street 12-3. After a huge victory against Florida, Yancy loses a thriller to rival Rochester. They close the season with Orlando and will likely host Bronx in the first round of the playoffs. Yancy will be a dangerous team in postseason play, they can beat anybody on the board.
5. Bronx 10-5. Lost to a superb Reno squad this week, they will bounce back next week against Atlanta and will likely see Yancy Street in the first round.
6. Port Moody 10-5. Suffered a crushing defeat to Florida, which highlights the disparity between the top 4 teams and the next 4. Port Moody has another tough matchup next week against the new #1, Rochester Dragons.
7. Victoria 8-7. Victoria bounced back with a must win game against Atlanta and has virtually guaranteed a playoff appearance unless the unthinkable happens and the Gamecocks win a game against a team that isn't 80% CPU. Victoria has fought hard to see the postseason, and as a reward, they will likely get to play Rochester in the first round.
8. Teikoku 8-7. As far as big games go, the Alexander's won their biggest game all season long when they soundly beat Thundertown and have almost 100% locked up the 8th seed with their victory. The only way Teikoku loses to Hartford is if the Alexander's replace all of their players with the players on the Detroit Lions before the next game.
You need a miracle:
Thundertown 8-7. Losers of 3 in a row and 5 of their last 7, the Brawlers need a miracle upset by Hartford or Orleans.....AND a win against the Knights. Um, yeah.......it could happen. About as likely as Jessica Simpson becoming a physicist.
Playoff Update:
Barring 2 or 3 upsets of Biblical proportions all happening simultaneously next week in the BBB#8 Easstern Conference, Teikoku and Victoria are in the playoffs, virtually securing the #7 and #8 seeds. The projected first round matchups are:
Teikoku at Florida
Victoria at Rochester
Port Moody at Reno
Bronx at Yancy Street

While Port Moody has a lot of talent on it's roster, it will take an inspired effort to seriously challenge the Dragons this week, though this game is a classic "trap game" after the Dragon's big win over Yancy Street.
Prediction: Not enough for Port Moody, not yet.
