Well did you see that KZOO beat the Continentals and those are the last 2 opponents you and the Pushovers have? It shows that they have played a tougher schedule in the conference thus far, since your last opponent is stronger than their last opponent.

Ranking: +2 (previous 6)

Shouldn't have too much trouble vs. the Continentals next week to wrap up a home playoff game rematch vs. the resurgent Bullets.

6. Cincinnati Shockers (11-4)
Beat Outkasts 213-0
Ranking: -1 (previous 5)

It's strange to see a team with a likely home playoff game ranked 3rd I know, but the Shockers have been playing well of late, just without the glamor wins. They'll get their chance in the playoffs.

How does Philly move up 2 and we drop one, even though we both beat gutted/underleveled teams and we have the H2H tiebreaker?

The first rankings controversy! Just as I finish telling Tricon that I was impressed there wasn't one yet.

It's a difficult situation. Green Bay beat you and Philly. So you can at least argue that GB should be ranked higher than you. But I can't justify GB at 4 and think that Philly's overall wins this season merit higher than 5. So unfortunately, you drop down.

The rankings are always subjective, but take great solace in the fact that the STANDINGS are not

Doh, we're likely gonna lose out on a home playoff game cuz we didn't pound the CPU teams hard enough loooool.

They also lost 2 scrims in a row.

Something must be done about that. It seems almost random. There isn't a team here that shouldn't be putting up the max on a CPU team.

So if that's true, then if we beat K-Zoo (again...if), then we'd move ahead of Philly, correct?

You guys should be ahead of us based on the fact that you beat us earlier in the season. It's BS if it's decided any other way. H2H b/w two teams w/ identical records should always take precedent over points scored or anything else.

I appreciate the rankings and they're neat to look at as the season progresses. I just looked at the rankings and seen us drop even though we won by 200+ and said 'what a minute!' lol All of this will be a moot point anyway unless we do our job and beat K-zoo on Friday.

Eh I'm not so worried about that as I'd like to see a different way of the standings being finalized. With gutting being such an issue, it leaves a lot at the mercy of your schedule. I guess we should have brought our no-mercy A game against Camden. We're most likely gonna play Philly either way, just won't get as much cash for it.

The Bullets might have found a crack in the armor. This might be the most studied game in the history of playoff coordination.

I hope so. There isn't much to gain by watching this game, a quick look at the box score says it all.

Today was more of a case of a brainfart in the defensive tactics than a crack in the Nighthawk armor.

I'm just amazed we still won by 20 while blitzing our only CB's to leave WR's wide open without anyone within 15 yards.

Are we playing a football game with Boston or something else? If we are playing a football game, we will win it. They can only beat us as a one-trick pony at a horsey freak show competition.

Boston beat the Pushovers 46-7 last week while throwing 70% of the time, that's not exactly a one trick pony.

Not necessarily. If you win 3-2, and Philly wins their game 200-0, then I would say that's more impressive by them.

Not a huge deal but we're 6-9 not 5-10

I don't know that there's a yawning gap between K-zoo and the Continentals - that was a pretty closely contested game, and they remain next to each other in the standings.

It was just one example of a few that would hopefully get the other poster to realize that the answer to his question is in comparing what both teams had in common and then what they didn't have in common, and it was hopeful that this example would spur a thought into that direction of thinking to try and unravel his mystery.

Now now. Let them watch that game all day long.

Good writeup!
