Yea we had several guys bail so we'll have plenty of roster spots available. I would say with chemistry at 100% we were easily a top 4 team this past season. Too bad/so sad.

the bailing is for a reason... I've been a stalwart player since S1 and I'm dumping my team (went from taking 30 minutes a day to manage to hours / day and lets just say when I pimped the job out to GMs the "magic" was lost... as well as any winning).
Recruiting went from simple simple to hours on end somewhere around season 3-4 (attributed to greed of the owners of this game [more teams, more money! need.... new... car!!!]).
Somewhere around season 3-4 speed became the king of all stats for almost all D and about half of the O positions and nothing has been done about it at all... I've been complaining like mad about these crazy "speed DE" builds because its just like putting josh cribbs at DE in the NFL -- sure, he'd get a sack every so often, but most of the time he'd be out cold or have a major anxiety complex because of the tackle that has a ~200 plus pound advantage manhandling him like a rag doll.
That's my #1 example, but a case could be made that a lot of positions aren't penalized for lack of strength (which I'd consider overall "meat" on a player). Its pretty sad.
Nevermind that Bort's initial intentions for what makes a "good build" are reflected in the scouting bar rating, yet those intentions end up making a crap build in light of the pure speed players. Its pretty blatantly obvious that ppl found speed would have the side affect of making your player a lot better than intended, but because enough people were doing it, the game developers pussied out on fixing it properly and just bent over to appease the masses, sacrificing their original vision for the game.
So....
Disenchantment? yup. I'm staying till I'm outta flex, but I'm done spending money on this game. Who knows, maybe I'll see it turn into something fun again, but honestly, I expect more bending over from the game developers and, if anything, it will be the "stat of the season" mentality for the rest of this game's ever-shortening lifespan.
