i found this little bit of advice i saw on a different forum and was wondering if anyone could kinda fill in the blanks for WRs, and QBs? im assuming WRs are pretty similar.

HB

1) Train Speed to 25-30. Soft cap it.
2) Train Agility to 25-30. Soft cap it.
3) Train Stamina/Carry. 2nd Cap Speed.
4) 2nd Cap Agility.
5) 3rd Cap Speed. Once Stamina/Carry are 30+ start training Vision/Confidence.
6) 3rd Cap Agility.

Not positive on the specifics for WRs and QBs since I've never built one, but you shouldn't train speed all the way to 25 for your first capping. Odds are you can cap it when you've got it lower, thanks to the 15 SPs at level 1.

Essentially, cap when you can, not when you train to a predetermined number.

when you train stamina is more dependent on your situation and how long you're going to slow build. for WR just soft cap catching instead of carrying. for qb just do throwing and vision first and get them to at least the 2nd cap asap.

Stamina should be last for every slowbuild except OT (where it actually gets good bonus per level, so you should train it early). Performance is irrelevant, and play time is independent of stamina both in the d-leagues and on a slowbuild team.

Part of the fun of slowbuilding is coming up with your unique plan.

That HB plan is fine. There are plenty of others that would work, too, and possibly better.

For QB, you want to focus on throwing ASAP, of course. Take it to 68 before anything else. Same can be said about WR and speed. After that, its where you want the build to go...

This is a slow build:

train speed to 25+ take to 68 cap
train agility to 25+ take to either 61 or 68 cap.
train stamina/carry to 30
train vision/confidence to 30.
cap vision

No. That kills your level bonuses. Train until you can get speed to 48, cap. Keep dumping points to 68. Then train agility until you can get to 48, dump.

Waiting until 25 (as a hard line) and waiting to get to multiple caps at a time hurt your player by wasting level bonuses.

25 tends to be where you can cap something...but if you store up 25 points, you should cap at 23.

ya I agree with that but 25 is pretty close to that number, at least for my players

When to cap all depends on your position and how extreme you want your slow build to be. If you're looking for the most extreme form, you should only cap when you will get more points from the level up bonus than you get from training (or you are otherwise at a point where you have enough SP to take the attribute to the point at which you would never spend another SP on it). Plus, you want to consider the ideal times to cap for each position. I added this chart to the wiki to help, although I still need to add the second and third caps to it.
