The vast majority of the contact I have is positive, and quite fun. The problem, and perhaps fatal flaw of this game, is that not everyone can have a starting position or be guaranteed a certain amount of playing time. A typical roster has 50 people on it, but only half our 'starters'. The other half are backups. And on a competetive team like most of ours are in this Pro League, it's tough to tell a level 10 player that he's got to remain a backup when he could be a God on one of the new teams out there.

But the ones that are willing to do that on a team like ours are the guys I have the utmost respect for. They want to win, and have fun doing it, even if they don't contribute quite as much as others. Chaos Theory has quite a few of these types of people, and as an owner, it's great to work with them.

Amen. Then again, with the new sub tactics and energy system, the only things seperating my starters and my backups are "starter" and "backup"

Of course, FAs and stuff don't see it that way.

I cut it at around five to seven. I, personally, have three. They are offensive linemen backups that kept on going inactive last year so I replaced them. I am signing our current starters to long term deals as I deem necessary. The main feature helping me is the new energy tweaks. I am maximizing everyone's PT so they level a lot faster. My starting QB got precisely max XP while my backup got 32 plays in. For a hopeful Pro team, that can be a sigificant help. Wasting plays on starters is something I see a lot of teams doing. You have to be able to adapt your energy settings so everyone levels, not just the starters.

Back on point, around five and I'm OK with it. I see teams with 10+ of their own players starting and just sigh. Where is the fun in that? I love having to worry about unhappy players, contracts expiring or players talking trash on the forums. It's a part of coaching. I don't feel it's an unfair advantage, most teams loaded up with their own players lose in the playoffs as all of their builds are the same and can be abused.
