Does Tackling skill increase the chance of a defensive lineman attempting a tackle on a player that runs right by him while he is being blocked?
Everyone here has seen running backs run really close to their defensive lineman while hitting a hole, and their D-lineman doesn't even get a missed tackle, but they'll also see occasionally getting a tackle on the RB, even when the game graphics show their player still getting blocked.
Does tackling have a major effect on this, or strength, or just luck?
Also, how important is the blocking skill for a DT?
