With another big game this week behind us (Singapore Marauders vs KK) we now have a 3 way tie for first and what seems to be a 9 team run for the playoffs. That doesnt mean that Phuket All 4-7 and the Macau Gamblers 4-7 are out but it will be very hard for them to make it in now. It looks to be a great finish to the end and anyone of the top 6 teams can still finish in first...
1. Bangkok Seamen(10-1) - Still keeps their #1 ranking with an easy victory over the gutted Sumatra Swarm. They still however have 2 games that could knock them out of this position. I still think a 15-1 record is in their future.
2. East St Louis Tire Fires(10-1) - They had a cake game today and it shows in the score. For their final 5 they have a good chance at a 15-1 record but to do so they will have to beat Singapore which looks like their last tough game of the year...
3. Kamakura Katanas(10-1) - We had big defensive game vs Singapore and this time we came out on top, for this reason we will stay in 3rd and hope that we can finish out 15-1 but with acouple of tough games left it wont be easy...
4. Singapore Marauders(9-2) - I found out that they are who we thought they were and that being another great Pro team that can win it all... This was a tough loss for them but with ESL as their next game there is no time for looking back, a victory here will really solidify a home playoff game and a posible 14-2 record...
5. Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates(9-2) - The Pirates won easily today vs Niagara Jeanhorns and their next should be another win. Then we come to week 14 when they will face off against Bangkok Seamen and a win here could really mess up the top of the rankings and get them a home playoff game...
6. Manila Hitmen(9-2) - Had a big win today vs Mekong Monsoon and now sit nicely up with the top 6. With 3 games left vs said top teams it will be posible for them to finish 14-2 or 11-5 only time will tell. Up first is Bangkok.
7. Mekong Monsoon(6-5) - With their upsetting loss today they will have to win next week vs Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates if they are to be taken seriously in the up coming playoffs, a loss will make them 0-6 vs the top teams and could posibly knock them out of the playoffs, they have a tough road ahead of them but they hold their destiny in their own hands with games vs Chaiyaphum Gothic and Niagara Jeanhorns...
8. Niagara Jeanhorns(5-6) - Their loss today hurt but they have no time to reflect on what went wrong, They have to WIN vs gothic if they are to stay in the playoff picture a loss here and it would seem their only hope then would be the last game of the season vs Mekong...
9. Chaiyaphum Gothic (5-6) - With their win today they have put themselves in a great position to make the playoffs. The next 2 games will really tell where this team is as they play at Niagara Jeanhorns and home vs Mekong Monsoon, just like Mekong they hold their own destiny in their hands...
WRAP UP
As i see it we have 3 sets of 3 going on right now and this will get sorted out in the next few weeks.
We could have 3 teams with a 15-1 record which i think would be awesome and great for our us in the future.
The next 3 are just a few pieces away from being right up there with the first 3 and like wise they all will be in double digit victories.
The next 3 however are great compeditors but something just seems to be missing a few tweaks and upgrades and they will be right in the mix too.
