That'll happen when you beat good teams. Nice work Duncan, we all appreciate the effort.

If you get 1 point for your win & and 1 point for the other teams wins, who did the Freedom beat that had 10 wins to go up 11 points from last week. Same for the others. Like I said I'm confused since you can only gain 9 points if you beat an 8-0 team eight games into the season.

Some of the other teams that they had previously beaten also picked up wins this week. It adds up over the course of the whole season, especially since the Freedom played some of the better teams right off the bat.

To get 11 points, the Freedom beat an 8-0 team (+8), they beat the Jacktown Smackdown in week 1 but Jacktown won this week (+1), they beat the Colonial Zoners in week 2 and they won this week (+1), and they beat the Tri-Cities Fever in week 5 and they won this week (+1). That adds up to a big 11 point gain for them this week. It works the same way for losses though, so if you lose to a team and they keep on losing after that, you lose points all season.

Yep thanks, see above. I figured that out. Sometimes I'm just smart like that, yeah right! You be the man but I can be more than a little slow. LOL Again great work.

No worries, it gets a little complicated when you have to think about how the teams you have already played are doing. It's almost like playing 6 degrees of separation with Kevin Bacon.

So far this formula looks reasonably valid. At first I thought about factoring in stats, but there would probably be a way to exploit that system, especially when one division is weaker than the other. Right now the West is fairly weak, which is why the Freedom has a higher power ranking than the undefeated Fresno Fire. I think I'll leave the formula the way it is for the rest of the season and see how accurate it is after all the games have been played.

If there was a way to factor in average level vs. performance they probably would be #1. I am scared of the Mystery Nerf in season 8.
