I just wish they had equipment that gave FBs the "Big Sack" ability that defensive linemen get.

Not that I would use it, it would just go well with my player.

I rolled a hold block +2% piece yesterday, any thoughts on that one? I bought it, but I'm also on the lookout for the ever elusive first step piece

I dont think that Hold Block is a great ability for a FB. For an OL it would be great, but for a FB you should'nt have to hold onto a block for too long. If you are run blocking, you occupy the guy for a very short time while the HB breaks free, hopefully you pancake the defender, but you dont need to hold him long. For Pass blocking, it may be a little more useful, but when pass blocking you are usually going to win or lose the battle on initial contact anyway, you are either blocking a DE or LB who has gotten around the OL, and you either pancake him or he flattens you. A QB who has a defender in the pocket probably wont hang on to it long enough for you to make use of the hold block ability much.

Just my thoughts. It could be useful, would certainly help you block better if/when it kicked in, but I am not sure how often it would be useful.

But I am still on the look out for First Step since I would assume it would help in lead blocking and rushing. But I was curious, are the people who have already found this finding any success??

all the superior items suck for people who have hgh level guys. People who didnt save all their tokens when this first came out. It;s only worth IMO if you have a low level player building it. Each player last about 10 seasons, and by then, you retire him.

But on a serious note, with like 6 more trips to the store the best thing I found was a +1 Dive For Yardage piece. I think I will just roll with my Pancake and hope that I get a few this season. Oh well. I guess this is my last visit to this thread.

Unless of course Bort comes out with a Flea Market type thing where players can sell items to other players. Most of us have gotten to a point where we are just throwing around cash anyway, so why not buy a First Step piece from some Agent who found it for their Punter for instance? Just a thought.

YOu should only be looking for FIRST STEP and LEAD BLOCK. If you roll FS and there are no atributes TAKE IT!!!! you might find a better piece of first step gear trying to find LEAD BLOCK. I passed a piece of plain FS gear and it took me 1.5 seasons to roll it again.
