1. Florida 6-0. Florida completely dismantled one of the top teams in the conference last week by beating Reno 59-13. They have crushed everybody they have faced and should cruise through the next 3 weeks on their way to their showdown with the Alexanders and Rochester.

2. Rochester 6-0. The only other unbeaten team after rolling over Thundertown. They have a big showdown with Reno this week that could go along way in determining the top 4 playoff seeding.

3. Yancy Street Grim Reapers 5-1. Winners of 5 in a row, though Yancy still has not been tested by the top teams in the conference. They have destroyed the teams they have played and have a roster loaded with top flight talent. The next 3 weeks against playoff caliber teams and then a showdown with Reno will give the Reapers to prove they are for real.

4. Reno 4-2. After suffering a huge defeat to Florida last week, the Knights are looking to bounce back this week against a fired up Rochester squad. Reno has played poorly against top flight competition this season, and they need a strong showing when they travel to Rochester.

5. Bronx 3-3. The punks from up north evened their record this week by crushing former powerhouse Orlando. They've got a bye week next week and then have a big game when the Reapers come into The Mosh Pit.

6. Teikoku 3-3. The Alexanders are surging and have won 3 in a row after dropping their first 3. They'll nbeed to win the next 3 winnable games before they host #1 ranked Florida in the Death Bowl.

7. Port Moody 4-2. Port Moody got back on track this week with a win over the Grumpy Knights. Their upcoming games with Victoria and Bronx have "classics" written all over them. They need to win now, they still have 3 of the top 4 ranked teams on their schedule down the stretch.

8. Thundertwon Brawlers 4-2. Thundertown stays in the top 8 by virtue of their record alone after getting manhandled by the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the conference. How they play against the mid tier teams in the weeks to come will determine if they are worthy of the ranking, or if they are destined to spend another season at home watching the playoffs.

Outside looking in (no order)

Victoria 3-3. They need to go on a run in between the Yancy and Reno games.

Atlanta 2-4. Won two in a row. Brutal stretch coming up.

Orlando 2-4. How far the mighty have fallen. They may continue the descent.

Time to build for next year:

Niagara Rapids 1-5
Grumpy Knights 1-5
Emmaus Hornets 1-5
Orleans Gamecocks 0-6
Hartford Hustlers 0-6

Not much of a chance for these teams to do anything except get some players in, get them some playtime, and hope for the best next season.

Game of the Week: Reno Knights at Rochester Dragons

The Knights come into the Dragon's Den for another showdown with conference rival Rochester. Anytime these teams step on the field together results in riveting, breath taking classic. Last season's game resulted in a 48-41 overtime barnburner that was won by the Dragons, and prior to that was a 31-30 win for Rochester that was won on a last second field goal.

Whatever happens, this game is sure to provide some fireworks.

Prediction: Reno is reeling after a tough loss, they won't bounce back this game. Rochester 30 Reno 28.

Damn...just cause the Alexanders won...well, Victoria will have to fall then. Sorry guys...winning against us just isn't going to happen.

Love the Power Rankings though CC, I look forward to our tilt...

Thanks. It's been long overdue. Although I'd admit it's a shame some strong contenders deciding to fold from last season(Cleveland, Orlando, Hartford, and Maryland)
