I swear to god I'm gonna retire my QB after this season. I'm getting so tired of the deflection bullshit and I have no idea if I should add more vision or take it off or what because no one knows now and it's really pissin me off how stupid my QB plays at times and I just wanna retire him.

I had 9 interception in the last game!

Just insane.

The defense we played against was good and he got sacked a lot (DE are still too strong) but my QB build isn't that bad or?

I'm afraid to take it off in fear of even worse decisions

Are your picks coming from errant throws, bobbled passes, or bad decisions?

bad decisions. which is why it's so weird to me.

A lot of it has to do with the offensive AI settings....

You have to look where the player is when the QB starts his throwing motion, so pause the play there.

The QB calculates the "risk value" for each player based on several things (sort of in order):

1) Being the primary receiver
{Vaunt comment: Offensive AI}
2) How far down the check down list he is
{Vaunt comment: I set my QB to 'sometimes' check down}
3) How many defenders are nearby
{Vaunt comment: Offensive AI - some pass plays give the primary wide receiver 'open spaces' which creates less traffic and lower % to be INT}
4) How good those defenders are in comparison
5) How close the player is to the play's set distance (short/medium/long)
{Vaunt Comment: Again the Offensive AI settings}
6) How close the player is to a first down (on 3rd/4th down plays)
{Vaunt Comment: Again the Offensive AI settings calling what play you run}
7) The player's catching ability

He has to make a vision check to "see" each player, so if he fails the check, a player may go completely unnoticed. He'll then pass to the guy he sees whose risk is furthest under his "acceptable risk" value, which is determined by pressure and how long the play has taken, etc.

Now, I have no idea what those risk values were and who he looked at etc. from the posted plays, because the values are not recorded, but maybe that helps to understand what's going on.

Don't get vision to 60, it is like the death trap for QBs.

Well, 5 more Ints than last year so far, and 7 in lst 2 games. Vision has gone up in number 3 games ago and QB has gone down the drains!

My QB hasnt thrown any picks when we play even competition, but he has thrown five so far when we are dominating teams

Common sense would say Vision would help, but a previous post may have it nailed, too much vision with too much confidence may be bad. Think about it this way, I'm a QB with really good vision and I'm so confident that I "know" I can hit my receiver every time. This could cause "over" confidence, hence leading to more INT's, think Bret Favre maybe! Now I'm not saying that is definitely the culprit, but I have a lvl 17 QB with 30 confidence, 48 vision and 57 Throwing, he only has 5 TD throws, but no INT's with 47% completion, against teams that more often than not out level him, but by only a little(most in the low 20's). Oh, and he's the backup QB so he doesn't get a ton of throws every game, but does get a pretty fair share most of the time.

Could be something to too much confidence, I think I'll stay away from confidence and concentrate on throwing and see what happens, I wanted to get it to 60 before doing much else anyway.

I think the problem here is that against cupcake teams, we throw a bunch because our offense is on the field all day. This just increases the chance you'll get picked off.

This is a game, not real life. Too much of one stat isn't gonna hurt you. It's just a game and you're thinking too hard.

I moved my equipment around to even up vision/throwing at 86/84 respectively and the past 4 games I've put up 70%+ completion in each one, with only 2 ints over them

there's some great info here. my QB's vision is already at the 60 cap and I'm going to hold off putting any more points into it. Instead I think I'll go with strength for now until more light is shed on the vision controversy.
