You got screws loose or something?

We're a slow build team you ass packer. You're bragging about being better than a slow build team who's level 14?

LMAO

Get the fuck outta here moron.

We've been there and done that. We have already played better teams ahead of his and already know the results. We are catching up every game.

You can boost, you just stock pile SPs until a stat is near soft cap from just training then use a SP or 2 to cap it, rinse and repeat for every stat that your position needs.

Oh, OK thanbks.

Listen guys,

We've been here since Day 11 of this game coming out. This is our 3rd team - the team we wiped to create this team was pretty sweet but not perfect. We want perfection.

Look at our team ID # - http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=190

It's 190 - yours is 1330.

Either way, we don't recruit players so we have a heads up on you there. I can understand the frustration with trying to find new players, and communicating what you're doing with all of these individuals and how much of a pain it could be. We don't have that problem because we're a Guild of online games who've been playing games together for years. Rather than having to find 50 individuals to build a team, we just threw up a post on our private forums and got 40 people to buy into it. No issues.

Does it take longer to get good? Yeah, but when we get there, you guys will know it.

The quick route to the top leaves you weaker than you could be. Believe me, we've been there, and it's not as good as it could be. Anybody who's putting points into Special Abilities sub level 25, is taking on shit on their player build... Unless your goal is to win the BBB Title, and then quit...

Just FYI

Hear hear...I just wanted to say Hi, Phirehawk to you and the Gestapo. You guys will meet us in USA Pro eventually. GL to you and keep on keeping on!

OK. So, this is your thrid season, right? Obviously you won't win BBB this season (3) or next(4). So, the earliest at which you'll win will be the team's 5th season. So, half your career is gone before you have a legit shot to win a title in BBB. Then, you hit A(6), where guys like me are still going to outlevel you by 15-20 levels. No matter what your build strategy, unless we do some really stupid stuff 15-20 levels will crush you. So, lets say you get crushed season 6. We get promoted that season(should be about the time we'll be able to win it at A). Season 7 you have a shot to compete (not win, but compete) in A. Season 8 you get lucky do well in A and get promoted to AA for season 9. Season 9 & 10 you play in AA where, again, we outlevel you by 15-20 for season 9 and you might beat us in season 10 depending on the decline rate.

So, where is this grand advantage to slow building? You piss away your first five seasons. We were competitive in every season excpet our first, which made the game enjoyable. We'll both end the same spot, but I didn't spend the first 5 getting routed.

This is only a 2nd season for this team. Stick around.

WoW talk about not knowing anything about the game...

I'll skip all the other corrections everyone has made and get into points that haven't been made...

At the top end of 'town' the level 30+ there is a constant shrinkage of people boosting every season for various of reasons bored/sick of game/finance and need to correct bad builds. Long term you're relying on trades and players who no one wants to resign.

You're only in USA A, and looking at the level of your players your competing with AA teams for players... Having said that you don't have the cash to lure good players to your team...

The only players your luring are the badly build players who will go anywhere...

Pontiac War Kittens under current management, isn't going to see the backside of 2 more seasons let alone think they will be evenly matched with Trinsic at their ninth season...

My lone advice to any rebuilding team is that if you have to pick between winning just a few games with bad builds that are on level or having a losing season while getting players with the right builds to win the next season or so, I'd go with the later.

No one is guaranteed the players that they have..they could leave GLB, want to go to a friends team, get their own team, and so on. Sure slow building might be best for the long haul, but life in GLB is short and I like to make life more interesting, lest I get bored of GLB, therefore I try and compete as soon as I can and when I can, I dont believe there is 1 best solution, just which ever you pick stick to it and have fun

there's definitely merit to slowbuilding, but it's not the only way.
canton hall of famers, who won bbb2, hmm, 3 seasons ago? they didn't
really slow build and they're still kicking ass in AA#1 right now (7-1).
our team did sort of a mix, but definitely not slowbuild-oriented and
we beat the columbus (#1 at the time) and mcd (#1 at the time, now 6-2
in aa#1) our first season after starting with level 9s basically, and
made the playoffs our 2nd season. will we eventually be disadvantaged
to slow builds? maybe, but we're doing fine in usa A right now (#1 until
yesterday, now 6-2 and tied for #2) with a huge level disadvantage.

it's up to the team. to me, slow or superslow in a brand new level-capped
league probably makes sense. maybe not so much here in usa. i kind of like
the mixed-team strategy. it'll be interesting to see where the chips fall
once seasons 11+ come around and player declines start occurring.

for example, our team has 2 qbs. one is my guy, the other my teammate and
friend's. season 1 (1 for us, s3 actually) i boosted early, he boosted late.
s4 he boosted early, i boosted late. and we traded the starting job back
and forth thusly. obviously the strategy isn't just about boosting, but you
get the point -- we had a guy "playing to win now" and a guy "playing to win
later".

Our other team beat them in the pre-season. I wasn't impressed.

It's all a matter of preference. When this team is in it's third season we'll be competitive with any of you. Take today's game for example. We got beat 41-7 by a solid Vikings team (45 over all). At half time the score was 17-7, a competitive game. None of our players have put any points into stamina yet so in the second half we got stomped. My level 16 LB is better than most LBs ten levels higher.

We have the luxury of having 20-30 individuals who want to build a team together. We've been doing it in MMOs for over a decade now and this is just another game to beat.

Well, you're talking about preseason, and any team in its right mind is testing out the new AI settings and trying out every offensive play in the new playbook and a wide variety of defenses. It's hard to judge a team's merits based on a test game.

Way to prove that slow building teams will eventually overtake us.

Damn, that sucks. I thought they actually had a strong team for this league. They probably could have won the league, or at least conference, next season.
