I want to split time between, say, LOT and ROT. Each have a starter, but share a backup. Yes, I've read the wiki, I searched the first 5 pages of this forum, etc. 98/99 still going to work, because when the backup goes in on the left, the right will be forced to go 2 plays in a row? Seems the backup will bounce back and forth and get the most, then... Heh, darn energy is lame

If you want all 3 to get equal time you could add all 3 at both positions. I think that would work.. not sure. It is the preseason so it is the best time to test it out.

Except the starters will always be in if they've recovered to 99, they'll also be in if they have more energy than the backup. So if your backup is getting more plays than either starter, they'll be in, because he'll have less energy.

You can also try 95/99, that should give your starters 2-3 plays before subbing.
