I love corner backs so I did an experiment. Nothing is really conclusive it was just for fun.

I took a build and gave all 15 s.p.'s to a certain attribute to see how it would effect the bars.

I rolled till I got a 16 for every attribute one by one, except for the ones that stay 10 on every roll. I also trained the attribute up to 17 on 3 normal trainings before I used the 15 points.

Str. +3 tackling
Speed + 6 pass bar
agility +3 pass bar
Jumping +3 pass bar
Vision +3 pass bar
catching 0 for all
stamina 0 for all
confidence 0 for all
carrying 0 for all

this leads me to believe speed is the most important attribute for pass defense. This is obvious, I know.

Then agility and vision being important. again common knowledge.

But Jumping registers 4th important on the pass bar. I think a lot of people would be confused on what the 4th important attribute for pass defense is. I think It is jumping.

I think catching, stamina, confidence, all work together on the over all bar. And catching helps interceptions of course. But i think you need the big 4 first for catching to really start mattering in pass defense.

Only thing left to figure out is what order they come after speed. based on playing the game and common knowledge, I would assume Agility=vision>jumping.

Thanks for sharing your experiment. Do you have any comments on how you think the Overall bar moves?

In my CB's case I swear I've seen the bars move more often just when he gains a level, and not after I have put points into a certain attribute.

I wouldn't argue with those 4, seems right

yeah, a combination of everything makes the over all go up. i think mainly str, stamina and confidence a long with tackling effect your over all bar. the big 4 do as well. I would never put a point in tackling though, until it's needed. I am level 32 and have yet to spend an s.p. in tackling. we'll see this season.
