Not sure what I think about this yet - some of the terminology is odd, as plays are named in ways that don't correspond to the scheme if we'd set it up ourselves (there's a cover1 play where the SS doesn't pick up the TE, for example).

For those who haven't seen it yet, its a new option when building defensive outputs - you can click a link and choose from a couple of dozen pre-scripted defensive plays.

I like the idea but there are more basic defenses that I haven't seen.

And all of them are for a 4-3 defensive setup. My team went with the 3-4 last year and can't switch now. Wish he had the 3-4 plays ready as well.

I don't get the choose a play option. Does that mean it is the only play you will run against that input? Whats the point then? I hope I'm missing something. Any input would be appreciated.

It isn't the only play. It is the same as if you set the settings yourself. You can then add another input. Then you set the percentages.

There are a lot of zone options which I have not used in the past but am interested if Bort changed some things to make it more effective. If so then some of these plays could be useful.

4-3 Zone where zone has not been working since season 3.

Well, some of them are interesting and allow players to be controlled more than in the past. Wish we just had the options to use in the advanced AI instead of pre-designated plays.

What I don't understand is what happens if your input is for a 3 WR set, but you choose a play based on 2 WRs. Would that output be ignored, or would it leave the 3rd WR uncovered?

LB would shift out if it's man coverage

You could also have another input for 3-6 as well as 0-2 WR just to cover those scenarios
