Headline: Reading Comprehension in the Shitter
You call it smack, I call it facts.
Until a team shows they can beat us, I think we have the edge over everyone but Sioux Falls, who we've never beat.
I don't care about the East at all.
I'm sure some of the teams here last season have improved. I'm confident enough to think it won't be enough. We'll have some close games, we might even lose to San Jose, RMT, or Death Valley. We did lose half our offense.
The Maroons have always had horrible gameplanning, and Midwest actually got worse.
As for the CPU teams, I guarantee they can't recruit well enough to beat us this season.
I was as surprised as you about the teams that got promoted, but that doesn't mean I don't respect the teams in the East.
I didn't set up the league, I just have to deal with it this season.
Unfortunately, despite my expectations, I haven't signed a single player from that thread. It was meant to be half tongue in cheek, but there's apparently more interest in competition than I thought. Either that, or it's not getting enough exposure.
I might post the link on the main board, just to get it out there.

pssst!.... You haven't got any takers because most GLBers look down on guys who just want to pad stats in blowouts against gutted teams.
Also... you might want to reconsider that recruiting tactic because you'll end up with a bunch of tools who probably knock down little kids and take their candy. Not team players... Just assholes who want to win NOW no matter what.

As you said, most look down on those guys. The main point to me though, is there are guys like that.
I didn't expect a flood of responses anyway. The whole Teams looking for Players forum seems to mostly be a waste of time.
Like I already said, it was meant to be tongue in cheek, but if I sign one player because of it, in my mind that makes it a success.
