Warlock, do you really recommend the D4Y SA for FBs who get the rock? In the "Rate The SAs" thread it seemed to come in pretty damn low.

The D4Y SA is something that has a small, yet consistent effect. Unless you get the rock a lot, I feel those points can be spent elsewhere for more of an effect TBPH.

It's a situational SA, but if you're in the right situation (get ~15 carries a game), it can be very helpful (say on average it's a 0.5 boost to YPC, over the course of a season, that's an extra 100 yards).

Most people over look it for that very reason... or they aren't in a situation to utilize it enough to be worth the investment.

Indeed, an average of .5 ypc is what I saw with two identical backs in the same team, with the exception being that one had more D4Y than the other (4vs1) but was worse in almost everything else (Including 2 less Power Thru). Really only worth it as a #1, and the true importance won't be seen on your stats but on the team's amount of first downs and punts.

I like agility for FB ...

-helps with blocking
-he needs a "burst" of speed becos most of his work gets done within 5-10 yds of line of scrimmage (unless you break free of course!)

+1

I would think the prototypical FB is quick, but not overly fast. Just enough speed to not get in the way of the HB while effectively lead blocking about 7-10 yards down field and/or outside the tackles, and agile enough to make quick adjustment to get a hat on that LB or SS. I'm going to plan of my FB being 1:1 ratio, or slightly higher in agility.
