Why would they leave all that money there? Why not give $3 mil to each of their players first? Or $10 mil to 10 of them. Something....

There are a TON of teams that have to quit because they don't have the money. Instead of gutting, they could have given the money to a team like mine who has the players and the drive to win, but not the money.

Yes, that is obviously what my connection to the Mustangs is about, but that money could have saved another team out there. Top teams are dropping left and right. This game is in serious crisis mode right now.

And by "giving it to a team like mine", I mean adding me on as a GM, then selling the team to me and moving my whole team over via cut/re-sign. Oh well. Too late now. We'll see how it goes with the Mustangs this year....

Because all the things you've mentioned for them to do are illegal (huge bonuses on the way out, funneling $ between teams like that...).

You're right. It's better that we just let all the teams fold then except for the 20 teams in this game with $100 million.

We'll have 2-3 teams in each league and 10+ gutted teams in 2 season at the rate we are going now.

And no one said anything about doing it on the way out. Seems that these teams should have planned ahead and gave out super high salaries and cash up front like some teams did.

Well, I guess if I was one of those 20 teams that could survive (like your team is), then I probably wouldn't want many other teams to have a chance either.

Pushovers, DDL, Trout, Yetis, Dryden, Hobos, Brisbane Heat, Krazy Monkeys, SGA, Punishers, etc etc are already the best teams. The money thing is making it even worse.

If teams can't win with equal equipment, how are they going to win with inferior equipment?

I've talked to alot of the top 100 owners. Most of them are on the verge of quitting.

I do have to say SI, with a team like yours, and the history of good/decent records....you must have made some horrible financial choices to be in trouble.

let me throw this out there. Competition. It doesn't change.

The same teams over and over, the same problems over and over. Yeah, maybe the new plays and playcalling will make it more possible for teams to really match up with one another, but staying in one league and seeing the same people and and same game-plans and the same results, well, it gets tiring.

If you don;t have something to entertain you, you get bored with the game. In CLP, its the forums. In USA, it was the comradery of the agents. But, a lot of that is gone.

Yes, it is a sad decision to make, but there is a time to end it. GSA sucked, but played the spoiler role. Largely ignored as a team, NEVER picked to win a playoff game (seriously, in 5 seasons, no one could pick us even once?), but we had our fun.

GSA was always one of the two teams that i feared playing the most (and i'm pretty sure my post history backs up)

i'm sad to see you go

You're right, it's a massive conspiracy which caused those to be the rules, put in place by those 10 teams you mentioned before the game started since we knew that we'd have those teams....

Or it could be that I'm just restating what the rules are which Bort put in place.

I do have to say that we have only had 1 home playoff game in our existence. If you don't get a top 4 seed, you don't get shit (til this year). I'm a cool $3 mil richer because of this year's playoffs. woooooooooo!

When did I say it was a conspiracy? I said the rules are set to HEAVILY favor the top seeds (rich teams). SI knows that Jed didn't make the rules.

Being a top seed (like you have been) is now putting the #4 thru #8+ seeds out of business though. If I was a top seed (like your team has been), then I would love having another advantage. I'm sure you could care less.

It is what it is. I'm just saying it isn't good for the game imo.

I'll let it end since you obviously have no idea on the history of my own team. (which is fair enough since you haven't been here).
