Swat Ball or Return Spec

Return Spec is highly regarded as all but useless, but might suck less at a later time. I won't be able to immediately upgrade the items to my players level, so I probably won't immediately equip the item. The CB who I got the item on is/was built for returning kicks and punts, but I have ended up leading my team in passing defense the last couple seasons.

Swat Ball seems like it'd be good. I haven't heard it called completely useless, at least.

This is the best that I've got so far and I really feel as if I should get one of them. I'd hate to spend another season cycling through crap gear again just holding out for something "good".

just keep holding out. you'll be glad you did when you find something redonk, like +3 vision +1 super vision.

I'd say get the swat ball for now. If you decide to go shopping for something later, you can always sell it back for 50% of the purchase price and the first couple upgrades are only going to cost you $3000.

One more advanced equipment question for my CB:

+2 agility, +1 Aura of Intimidation SA or
Intercept chance +2%

Neither. Although I see how the aura could be tempting, my opinion is that it will not effect enough players to be worth taking (seeing how you most of the time will be off at an edge or deep backfield), if you compare this with a linebacker who will be in the middle of everyone and thus effect more players.

The intercept chance is pretty much crap.
