For those people with soft capped catching or higher:

How often do you catch balls that have been pass deflected?

Maybe once a game since I softcapped it, probably less although there was a game where I think I got 3 such passes. Seems to be a specific play where the LB tips the pass a lot.

lots of variables to consider there... but it seems to me I'd get one every two to three games.

Happens now and again...though that almost looks a bit more like he yanks it out of the CB's grasp before he firmly has it. x.x;

last season in 23 games you had 34 passes deflected. so youre a little off there. You were targeted 188 times and had 34 deflections, basically a 1:5.5 ratio, 1 defection for every 5.5 balls thrown your way. I have 27 deflections in 142 pass attempts, basically a 1:5 ratio. I'm relatively certain that your catching is about 40 higher than mine. Considering I played in AA against higher level CBs, and you were in a capped league, thats a marginal difference. Obviously, sample size, but just looking at us it seems theres a small to non existent correlation between catching and deflections.

Most of this thread is tl;dr.
Um.. I consider carrying<speed, agility, catching, jumping, and vision (in that order)
After that, it fights for a spot amongst blocking and strength, though I'm pretty sure it's slightly more important.

WRs have too many attributes to prioritize imo.

How many of those deflections did you catch though?
