...to get things going a bit, I'd like to see everyone's predictions for the east AND the west playoffs round 1. This also includes all the lurkers out there who have an opinion too. Let's get some discussion going....also, OTR sucks.

Here are the matchups:

WEST
OTR vs. Jacktown Smackdown - I predict a total asskicking...sorry Jacktown. OTR wins.

Fresno Fire vs. Omaha Beef - Possibly the best game of the West first round. I'm going with the Beef in an upset. They have been coming on lately and proved it against Miami last week.

South Otto vs. San Jose - San Jose has obviously been tanking the season and acting like they don't care, but they will be boosted and ready for this game. It's not enough to beat South Otto though, Otto wins in a closer game than most think.

Bay Area vs. Reno - Mattarchy and Bay Area are ready, and although I think Reno is to be comended on a good season, they will go down by many points this first round. Bay Area by 30.

EAST

New York vs. Boston - Boston has been a real let down. I think they don't care anymore, and it's evident by their lackluster performance this season. Once one of the best teams in the league, they will get slaughtered by NY.

Louisville vs. Syracuse - Syracuse is not a bad team, but Louisville has experience on their side and has been in many playoff games in years past. Louisville wins this one by an average margin.

TCC vs. American Freedom: Best matchup in the Eest in my opinion. If you are not scared of the Freedom in the playoffs then you are a fool. That being said, I think TCC wants redemption on their loss last game and will be firing on all cylinders. Look for the Freedom to be in the top 3 next season behind the coaching of norse. TCC wins in a thriller of a game...

Miami vs. Richmond - Richmond is a good team, but I don't think they have the defensive firepower or depth to sustain the pounding they will get from Miami's high powered offense. Miami will win this in closer than expected battle in the trenches.

It is hard to argue against OTR. I just hope we put up a respectable performance against a team that should at least be in USA AAA.

OTR vs. Jacktown Smackdown - I agree with the asskicking and despite the win, OTR still sucks.

Fresno Fire vs. Omaha Beef - Agreed, should be a close game, but I think Fresno hangs on with all of their finger nails gone.

South Otto vs. San Jose - Also agreed with San Jose tanking the season and acting like they don't care, but I disagree with the outcome. San Jose catches them off guard and pulls an upset.

Bay Area vs. Reno - Agreed, Bay Area, but less than 30.

EAST

New York vs. Boston - This team have have also been laying low, but changes and boosts won't be enough. NY by a mile.

Louisville vs. Syracuse - Agreed, will be an average outcome with a 14 point spread with Louisville on top.

TCC vs. American Freedom: Rematch of week 14 and Freedom gave TCC one of it's hardest fights all season, forcing nearly 25% of all TCC's turnovers in one game. Freedom left 4 points on the field and miscued in the RZ twice - the game was closer that the score indicates. Both teams will be studying the last game in detail to prep for this and it should be another close one. Too close to call.

Miami vs. Richmond - Miami by 14. Sorry Richmond.

Thanks for props refusetolose. We're already working the syndicate in preparation for next season. And yes, this should be a thriller as the last game was closer than the score indicated and despite the miscues Freedom had, TCC held off a persistent second half surge.

Looks like we're both competing for the role of underdog here Vike. How unusual...and refreshing.

Yes, you are not the team I was hoping to draw in round 1 (or at all, frankly).

We will, however, be ready.

Can't wait.

OTR-prob best in league
Omaha-upset that not really an upset
South Otto-close, but Otto by 3
Bay Area-by 14+

NY-gameplanning
Louisville-3rd times a charm?
TCC-rough draw, but talent will over power
Miami-to strong, by 14+

I believe that we would murder your team norse...

We didn't get murdered, but we certainly got our asses handed to us. Brad Childress must have snuck into the coaching staff some how. I'll need to take care of that.

I was talking about OTR vs. the Freedom... we have gats so we win... I live about 20 minutes from the real OTR, and trust me, they really do have gats.
