Safety D’Quell Washington talks about next week’s game and what is required to shut down the Aces passing game.

Reporter: Are you looking forward to the challenge this weekend?
DW: Definitely, the Aces are one of the best passing teams in the league right now with a great QB and a great receiver tandem.

Reporter: What do you think about the receiving core especially Chris Robinson and Quintin Flint?
DW: The Aces have one of the elite receiving cores in the league, and all of them like to play physical football. Robinson is especially dangerous because of his size.

Reporter: How does the team plan on building off of last weeks win over the Orlando Sunfire?
DW: Well, I personally did not take part in the victory last week over the Sunfires because of contract negotiations, but we are definitely going to build off the win. Coach has created a good game plan for us to win with. Last week we did pretty good in keeping the Sunfires to 95 yards through the air, so I hope we can continue the same defense this week.

Reporter: Now a little about you. How have you adjusted to being traded after playing just a few games with the Leeds Cougars?
DW: I’ve adjusted pretty good I think. I like my new owner Reo, and I like my new teammates a lot. It’s a big adjustment though, coming from a European league and into one in the USA.

Reporter: Just curious, could you tell us why you were traded?
DW: Well, initially I wanted to stay at the Leeds Cougars because of the competition in the division but me and the owner did not get along well. I started to look for outlets because I didn’t think the organization respected me and wanted me there. Reo took the chance and traded for me, I believe he traded a level 3 computer end and a level 3 computer receiver. Apparently that’s what the Cougars thought I was worth because they happily traded me to another team.

I’m happy now though. I have an owner who cares and plus I’m closer to home.

Reporter: Thanks for your time.
DW: No problem.
