Alright, I just got done soft capping speed, and I don't have a game for 2 days, so I won't know how he'll play 'till then. Anyways, I just wanted you guys to take a look and tell me what I'm missing or what I could add. Here are a couple of points I'll make before anyone asks:

1. I'm not going to put anything into the SA's
2. I'll train my Stamina for a couple of seasons, but I'm not going to put any SP's into it until my Speed and Agility are to the 2nd soft cap. I'm not planning on this guy being a starter until he's around level 24.
3. I'm going to treat my Confidence just like my Stamina.
4. I'm soft capping my Vision next.
5. I'm not boosting until I'm in the 20's

That's about it. I have my equipment on Agility and Vision, but I'll take any suggestions on where to place the equipment. I'm not going to spread it out farther than 2 attributes, though. I know I have to work on my Strength and Tackling, but I figure if I miss a tackle, I'll at least slow them down until help arrives. I plan to get to the 2nd soft cap for my Speed and Agility after I soft cap Vision. Let me know what you guys think.

Yea, I want to make sure I take full advantage of the training. I've had a buddy of mine do the exact same thing, and he said it was worth it.

You have already sacrificed training time and wasted it completely. I'd never advocate that you make a habit of training a major which you did because your jumping/confidence/catching is all horrible. You won't be as strong in the long run but it didn't mess you up either.

Problem with not boosting is that while it maximizes your training gains, towards the second half/end of your player's career, there's a chance that he won't be near the level needed to hang with the big dogs.

We aren't 100% sure on how Bort is going to handle "aging" players, but we do know it's going to happen around Season 10 after player creation date. Is that a hard number, or based on what level the player is on? Or even snaps played? Say it's a hard number (easiest to code)... if you skip out on, say, three seasons of boosting then your player will be roughly 7-9 levels lower than players created on the same date that DID boost. So while your overall build may be better from increased training gains, it will be far offset by the 45+ extra skill points that another player will have access to.

Yeah, with not boosting, sure you get to train lower skills for longer, but you miss out on 15 SP every season, which is far more valuable.

Yea not boosting is just stupid...no easy way to put it.

All I can say is if you are playing MLB you want Defense General to be high. I have it at 5 on my lvl 27 LB. It makes the whole defense better.

Actually, waiting until the end of a players second season is perfectly fine for boosting. The main reason is that early experience is still in the sweet spot and you are really only losing maybe a level, level and a half...not much in the grand scheme of things.

If you are on a limited flex budget, I'd say waiting until the end of the third season is equally appropriate as you are then beginning to get the most bang for your flex points in terms of "game xp/boost".
