My FB does takes this route to the right of the RT more times than I'd like and usually makes a block in the secondary but in this case a fumble was caused by the LB my FB should have blocked had he went directly through the middle. Would higher vision help this?

Second, My FB is the starting, blocking FB in a league where the average defender is at least 3 lvls higher. How do I incress my pancake output? Do I need more strength, blocking or speed to get my FB to pancake more?

To increase your pancake total, raise strength and the pancake SA. Your FB looks pretty good for a level 29, aside from strength being a bit low for my tastes.

My FB is a little higher than most in my league, but he also has 86 str and 5 in the pancake SA... he is #1 in pancakes for his conference and #5 in the league, with 136 on the season. Part of his total is skewed by the level advantage obviously, but otherwise his pancake numbers are pretty ridiculous for a FB.

Str is immensely important for pancakes and the SA augments this.

Thanks Warlock! I'll start pumping up strength. Here's that example of the first question I had, sorry.

Is it a lack of vision or is this just the way the play is designed? Minus the fumble, my FB takes this route alot, going right side of the OT alot while the HB takes the hole in the middle.

The thing that sticks out to me on that particular play is that...

Either you or your HB have poor vision, is set to a bad tactic when combined with your speed or he's just entirely too fast for you. This means that you have work on speed more, hurting your pancake totals or you have to work with your HB to find the right settings to compliment one another (I.E. play with tactics, if that doesn't work compare attributes to see what is the problem, etc...).

The 54 rushing bar for the HB would suggest extremely high speed and agility, you'd probably need another 10 speed and agility to just keep up which would take many levels, but perhaps it's necessary. The HB doesn't seem to have great vision either.

How much blocking do u need as a FB anyway? I mean, they rly only block one guy and thats a second or 2 long, so 20? 30?

Not sure, but personally I'd soft cap it just for the level up increases, you never know when they'll adjust blocking to matter more. I would guess that 20-30 would be good enough though.

At that time both the HB and I had 40 vision and yes his speed is about 20 points higher. OH Well, there goes strength for a while.

My HB is about 20 points faster as well, but because of the tactics we use, I seem to get there just in the nick of time to make the block... unfortunately, it seems that I'll have to work on speed next season and have to wait to cap vision and carrying until the following season.

Although, I'm trying to get our owner to move me to the power back role and bring in a blocking FB (with me backing him up). He used me a ton to run the rock in season 3-5, so I kind of started to build that way... this season I went back to the blocking only role, yet the HBs got really fast while I worked on rounding out my build. I can put up decent numbers running the rock with the shitty selection of FB plays, I'd love to see what I can do with a lead blocker.

Games like these make me smile though...

LMAO thats crazy!! My blocking FB got confused with a TE in his early seasons and it took awhile to get him back. I'm gonna dig and find a few nice blocks to post.
I'd like to get to a chance to run Power Back but I think Antoine is too far set were he is. I might create one instead and see how he fairs. I'll be hitting you up for advice on that
