This week, Bootleggerz own, Cocky MFer!
Whats your team, your postion (GM, OC, DC, Owner, player), your history with the team?
I am a General Manager for The Bootleggerz. I have six players on the team, our starting FS, 4 OT and 1 Guard. The owner, OC, another GM and several players on our team all work together and we put this team together. We have worked very hard at building The Bootleggerz in to a contender to represent football the way Oklahoma football should be.
Who do you see as your biggest opponent? Got any rivalry going on?
The Battalion and The Steel Curtain play us better than any team out there. As far as rivalries go, ours are friendly for the most part. I would say Jersey is our biggest friendly rival, not to take anything away from Pittsburgh, but they aren't in the forums much, but I have a great deal of respect for both teams. Also, I'm not one to sit back if someone starts talking smack about our team though, that's really what starts our previous heated rivalries. We try to be a very respectful team until someone runs their mouth. Then we do what Bootleggerz are meant to do, but boots in asses.
Which team do you see winning the championship game? If you think your team will win, who do you beat?
Obviously I think we are capable of making that run, but in this league it's hard to tell. Pitt, NJ or us will be the one advancing this year, in my opinion. Minnesota is always tough, but I think they are still lacking what it will take to win it all. Of course I didn't think Detroit had any chance in hell last season either. If we do make it to the championship game this season, I would love a legitimate shot at Nevada.
If you could switch to any team in the league, which would it be?
It would be very hard for me to leave the Bootleggerz, but if I had to switch I could play for Pitt, NJ or join JT on the Nevada Fire. And I think it would be fun to play on the Musclefrogs team, those guys are funny.
Do you play football out in the dangerous real world?
I never played organized football growing up. I was a little too scrawny back then. We had some great neighborhood games though. There's nothing like playing football with a bunch of friends in a muddy ass field, trying knock the shit out of each other.
Which is your favorite NFL team?
My favorite NFL team is The Steelers. I'm born and raised in Oklahoma, but I was the guy in the family that would always pick the team that everyone else hated. With so many Cowboy fans in my family, the Steelers were the natural choice.
Defense or Offense?
I'm a defensive guy. I like to see hard hitting smash mouth football and it all starts on defense. I like the attitude of "you can't score on me, you'll be lucky to get a first down".
Favorite postion on the field?
I like the safeties, especially when they blitz or a receiver comes over the middle of the field. Seeing a WR getting blasted so hard his helmet comes off and they have to help him off the field gives me goosebumps.
Which player on your team can make or break a game?
That's what I love about our team, we have so many. But, it all starts with the O-Line. If they aren't up to par, you might as well not even show up because it's going to be a long day for your QB and RB's.
You have quite a few players on Bootleggerz, would it kill you to have one on another team?
Would it kill me? No. Would it kill my QB? Yes. As I mentioned earlier, a lot of our team works together and are good friends, so we all take a great deal of pride in this team. That's why I get so hostile when someone talks bad about us. If something happpened and our team was gutted, I would still try to keep most of my guys together.
You are meeting the Bengals in week 16, epic showdown of proportions unlike anything seen before?
I think the Bengals have really flown under the radar until this season, at least in the east. They look like a power house and I'm looking forward to playing them. I think it will be a close game and for us could have a direct effect on our playoff positioning and I think it will do the same for them, so it should be a blood bath. I can't wait!!!
BigMac or Whopper?
Whopper by far. I don't mind the big mac, but the whopper gives me some of the best farts I've ever blasted out on this earth. I could eat for of them and then level a city mile!!
