believe it or not, I don't really care. The more WR's who don't use str, the less my CBs will need in the long run

Well the team that my level 27 WR is on are leading or 2nd in the league for almost all the receiving stats such as yards and TDs. All our WRs have pretty low strength.

The same goes for my level 21 WR with just 9 strength he leads the league in yards and TDs. His team also leads the league in yards and TDs and all the other WRs have low strength as well.

your also not a great running team. Strength for WR's depends on the team type and the opposing Cb's they'll be going against VERY much. If your on a team that runs alot, strength is huge, will help you with blocking as well as YAC. If your on a team that is pass heavy, it will help with yac, but not much else, and you could go more speed/agility to compensate for the lack of yac.

I'm not saying strength is useless I just don't think it helps a WR catch and the SP used on strength could be better spent elsewhere.

Strength does not help you catch. However it means everything for YAC. Put strength together with Carry and you have Broken Tackles. You get a receiver who can break tackles and I'll give you a league leading receiver.

i'm working on this same vision
it's still a work in progress

an agility WR with high strength (not capped strength though) and high carrying (higher than the average WR but not a flooded stat)
he'll have an otherwise possession WR build with sound SP investment into the SAs and not have sub-par speed

he'll use his agility to make great cuts
and his strength, vision, speed and carrying to break DB tackles

LOL@ you for not knowing that str helps you catch. A lot of drops and deflections can be prevented with a little bit higher str. Like I said I wouldn't cap it or anything, unless you just wanted to. But it helps you when the corner back is sticking close.

Can you verify this with firsthand knowledge? My experimental soft capped Strength/Carrying WR breaks absolutely nothing, except my heart.

Fumbles aren't even the main reason I'm training strength on my WR. The main reason is to take advantage of weak CB's and make break away after the catch.

As far as strength vs HB's, I'm about to the point where I believe that HB's in particular are coded to be more prone to fumbles in order to force the use of Carrying and Strength (which rarely help anyway). Therefore, they just fumble a lot.

You need reasonable speed for your strength to be effective.

An odd example, but if a car for instance is rolling towards you at 2mph you'd probably be able to stop, but if it's coming towards you at 20mph you're probably gonna get run over.

Define reasonable speed at say, level 20.
