Ok, this is the first FB I have ever built. And I really wanted to just make him a fast G. I don't care about carrying the rock. I just want him to steam roll LB's and DB's that get in his way and pave a path for the HB to hit. So I am talking about a big road grader. Any input on my build would be awesome.

Note, I was slow building him and I have purposely avoided putting points into stamina or vision. And I am not worried about SA's until after LVL24. Thanks!

He's not going to get many pancakes if he can't stay in front of his HB.

+1

and you need a lot more stamina. It takes a lot of energy to knock down guys.

speed is now in the equation for pancakes also, 2nd capping it will help a lot

Thanks for the feedback guys. So should I take speed to something like 62? Or is that too much speed?

Also, I started training stamina and will get it up to 30.

to make a pancake fb 2nd cap strength and then 2nd cap speed . then 1st cap agility. after taht pump all of your sp's into pancake. also all of your equipment should be in strength.

I mostly agree with this. Speed doesn't necessarily need to be 2nd capped though, just enough to reach your block before the HB gets there.

P.S. Vision is kind of helpful as well, but I do well with ~40.

all that being said, i feel like my fb has a good build to get pancakes but he only has 20 on the season. warlock you've seen my build any advice?

Edited, thought you were the OP. I need to look at your numbers before I can make an assessment.

Looked it up in the other thread... you're very similar to my build TBPH. The most glaring difference is that I have ~10 more vision. Other than vision, I have a little more "lead block" and confidence. Well and that you're also in a pro league, which means you're facing opponents that are 1-3 levels higher than I typically do (I'm guessing here, my league is kind of stacked with lots of players around my level).

Do you play on hard intensity and +run block tactics? That could be another different factor between us.

One last thing that I can think of... most of the higher level guys are built a bit differently than the second gen players (less optimal and such), most of the guys around our level are in the speed kills mindset, while those that are a level or two higher might have more strength than the speed kills guys. Meaning that I might be pancaking LBs who have a very low strength, while you're going against LBs with a decent level of strength (because they didn't know any better back in season 1 when they made their guys).

i usually play on hard and balanced. thats probably a big reason. I had thought about the first 2 points but the last one is pretty good and makes a lot of sense. thanks for your time and help. Im gonna go erase my build off the board now.
