Is there a certain WR spot that is better for speed guys or does it just matter on how the other team defends you.

Not really, I would put him in the #1 spot if he is the highest leveled or even with the highest leveled, but just put your highest level guy in the #1 spot imo.

I have always read that your fastest guy should be your #2 guy.

In general look at it like this -

#1 - Best all around Wide Receiver on your team. Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne etc.

#2 - Fastest receiver. Your defensive stretcher. Lee Evans, Greg Jennings, Bernard Berrian, Devery Henderson, etc.

#3 - Should be the guy that catches everything. Goes over the middle for the tough yardage. Jason Witten (yes I know), TJ Housh, Wes Welker, Anquan Boldin, etc

Ask what routes your team is running. Look at the new play charts that show the route graphics and see which ones have the deepest routes. Ask to be put in the corresponding slot.

On 5WR plays the #4 WR slot is the best position for a speed WR.

We have a speedster at WR#2 and he has been flourishing. Our #1 guy gets almost nothing so he has pretty much been our decoy it seems.

worked for us last year, but we didn't run it so much this year for whatever reason.

It is all matchups as everyone plays their best at #1. Depending on your offensive sets it may pay to move the fastest to #2 or 3 to take advantage of a lower rated CB.
