Current standings and thoughts

#1 Omaha 12-0

Remaining schedule:

#13 California 2-10
#7 Oakyville 7-5
#3 Houston 11-1
East #16 London 0-12

Best: 16-0
Worst: 14-2

Looks like Omaha will be the one holding home field in the playoffs They could still give up a loss it will take someone playing their best and Omaha having an off game. I am sure Oakyville and Houston are gonna do whatever possible to win but it is a daunting task.

#2 Reno 11-1

Remaining

#3 Houston 11-1
#8 Chattanooga 7-5
#9 Compton 7-5
West #5 North Carolina 9-3

Best: 15-1
Worst: 11-6

The scary thing is if someone can get a win on these guys it could carry over for everyone else on their schedule. They have been a dominate team but do not have any sure wins left. They will be tested come playoffs and will be a huge factor in how every team gets seeded.

#3 Houston 11-1

remaining

#2 Reno 11-1
#14 Trojan 2-10
#1 Omaha 12-0
west #1 Memphis 12-0

best: 15-1
worst: 12-4

Anyone want to trade schedules with these guys? One win left for sure but they are not favored in any other matchup either being even or underdogs. This is the time to find out what Houston is about.

#4 ORLY 9-3

remaining

#5 San Francisco 8-4
#10 Wyoming 4-8
#12 Ambridge 3-9
west #7 Forgotten 7-5

best: 13-3
worst: 9-7

Orly has games all left against some quality competition. Expect their last week matchup to mean alot for a home game or not.

#5 San Francisco 8-4

remaining

#4 ORLY 9-3
#11 Cincinatti 4-8
#6 Carolina 8-4
west #8 Akron 7-5

best: 13-3
worst: 8-8

Even the Cincinnati game is gonna be a potential season breaker. Every week will count for San Fran but they will be in the mix again come playoffs. Could even get a home game.

#6 Carolina 8-4

remaining
#16 Kalmazzo 0-12
#15 Somerset 1-11
#5 San Francisco 8-4
west #13 Denver 3-9

best: 12-4
worst: 11-5

The week 15 matchup with San Francisco is what is left for Carolina. Last season the two teams met with playoff implications in week 15 with Carolina winning but losing the following week to Memphis in cross conference play to be eliminated from the playoffs. This season both teams should be in and week 15 might be for a home game or not.

#7 Oakyville 7-5

remaining

#14 trojan 2-10
#1 Omaha 12-0
#16 Kalamazzo 0-12
west #9 Enterprise 6-6

best: 11-5
worst: 13-3

Oakyville looks to be heading to the extra season as well but could improve their chances with wins against Enterprise and a huge upset over Omaha.

#8 Chattanooga 7-5

remaining

#9 Compton 7-5
#2 Reno 11-1
#14 trojan 2-10
west #10 Minnesota 4-8

Best: 11-5
worst: 8-8

could be caught on the outside looking in if not careful. Compton has been coming on strong and could very easily be the #8 seed.

#9 Compton 7-5

remaining:

#8 Chatanooga 7-5
#12 Ambridge 3-9
#2 Reno 11-1
west #15 Moss point 0-12

The matchup with Chatanooga is huge. Reno is probably concerned after seeing the fits they gave Houston as well. These guys may be peaking just in time. I think they have what it takes.

My prediction

#1 Omaha 16-0
#2 Reno 15-1
#3 Houston 12-4
#4 Carolina 12-4
#5 Orly 12-4
#6 San Francisco 10-4
#7 Oakyville 10-4
#8 Compton 10-6

Chattanooga 9-7

Thoughts?

you have oakyville best at 11-5 and worse at 13-3.. Also the prediction you have San Fran and Oakyville only playing 14 games..

I'd say best for them would be 11-5 (I think they give Omaha fits) and worst 9-7. Either way, Oaky will make the playoff field. I'll give a safe call and say you guys finish 10-6.

And a note on the ORLY, Carolina fight for the fourth seed. ORLY has a tough game with the Forgotten to end the season. Win that and they are the four seed IMO. they just took care of San Fran so that is one step.

Carolina will have to beat San Fran and hope for the ORLY loss. They are not in the drivers seat but are very well positioned if the Owls slip up. i think San Frans loss tonight took them out of the four seed running in any realistic sense. IMO the four seed is going to finish 12-4 and the only two teams who can reach that mark are ORLY and Carolina. I think the Owls stand a pretty good chance of sliding to the three seed if they win out. Houston will probably lose two more games down the stretch to Omaha and Memphis to finish 12-4. they hold the tie-breaker over Carolina so would get that seeding.

IMO, the third fourth and fifth seeds are all going to come down to one game, ORLY and the Forgotten ones in Week 16.

Also wanted to add my opinion about how tough a break it is for ORLY and Houston to pull tougher final games than Carolina. We had to deal with that last season and it ultimately likely cost us a playoff slot.

BTW, my playoff seeding picks

1 Omaha
2 Reno
3 ORLY
4 Houston
5 Carolina
6 Oakyville
7 San Fransisco
8 Compton

Chattanooga will probably be the hard luck loser this year. they are certainly good enough to make the playoffs but the head to head loss to Compton tonight probably did them in.

Yeah but they just lost to Compton head up so it appears Compton is the better team.

I agree they are certainly deserving to be a playoff team. but they are behind the eight ball right now with that one-point loss to Compton. If everything plays out based on the games left, it looks like Chattanooga will fall just outside that top eight. It looks like it is going to take 10-6 to get in and Chatt will have to upset Reno to get to that record where they already lose the tie-breaker to Compton.

They are certainly deserving though because they whipped our butts this year.

Whats the tie breaker after head to head? Cause if Carolina, Houston and Us all end with 4 losses which looks like a good possibility. Carolina has the head to head over us, Houston won over Carolina and we beat Houston so i think it might come down to however the other tie breakers work for the 3-5 spot.

Ha ha we tried but guess having twice the yardage as the other team doesn't guarantee a win, stupid fumble on the 1 yard line ha ha
