Blocking Grades

7-1-1(for now anyway)-4-5

Receiving Grades

5-8-8-5-1

**Notes**
Hands may need a re-evaluation if holding goes in

Get low is so low due to the need to invest in "Hands" to increase it and in the fact that my TEs tend to only need to "seal block" DEs rather than "drive block."

Pancake is low due to the high investment of SPs required to raise it to sufficeint levels to see a major effect.

Route Run is tought o judge. I haven't heard anyone get huge results based solely upon this SA. I think its good, but perhaps its mainly a stepping stone to Sticky Hands.

Sticky Hands is GOD.

Quick cut helps after the catch and during route running and while blocking down field. It is easily the SA that is the most useful in the most situations.

Cover Up - I don't find it to be effective. Its too far down the tree. I think carrying would be a better investment of SPs. I left the rating so high based on majority opinion.

Lower Shoulder - I don't really see it working on my Power Back, I can't imagine investing SPs in it as a "5" ability.

+1, except I haven't seen sticky hand's impact..

I believe it's passive skill.

A question with regards to Sticky Hands: Does it factor into the QB decision-making, or is it just to reduce drops? What I mean is that a QB will seemingly take Jumping + Catching into account when deciding how open a player is. Think Randy Moss; Brady will throw him the ball even when he's quite well covered because he'll outjump the defender and catch it anyway. So will the QB consider a player with Sticky Hands to be "more open" than one without it, everything else being equal?

Personally I'm looking to try Lower Shoulder out. Currently my TEs are all rather slow, don't have the strength needed (Strongest has 73 strength) and most of all lack carrying/quick cut/lower shoulder (16, 2 and 3 respectively on the 73 str guy...). Once these numbers are 80+/30+/4+/5+ or so I think I'll start having some nice results.

Okay so all it would do is increase your catch chance % by a certain amount or something like that? Then the skill doesn't seem to be as good as Quick Cut...

At first I thought it was a lesser version of jump catch/1 hand catch, where WRs are able to catch balls even though they were very imprecise.

Wouldn't that be the same then?
From what I read, it's more effective in clutch situations like 3rd and long.

TE special abilities are a waste. Good TEs need to be good receivers and good blockers, this leaves us with very few skill points to spread around. I wouldn't go higher then 3 (with no CE) in any.

Being good at everything hasn't been a hallmark of GLB success in the past.

Generally what people call GLB success is their precious stat numbers, but being a decent enough blocker to assist in the running game is very important for a TE even though you'll never get any numbers for it. You still want to be a good enough weapon to catch some balls when your team needs it though.

No... WR Skills like Jump Catch and 1 Hand Catch increase your catch radius when they trigger.

Sticky Hands would only lower your drop rate.

Personally, I think the only SA's worth investing in are the Blocking Tree. I am a blocking tight end, I get shit loads of pancakes, and I am a constant target for my QB. So I think If you were going to put points in SA's (Run/Pass block) are the only ones you should be looking at.
