Two things, and please bear with me. I know it's been brought up before, likely 100 times before. But, without a forum search function, it's nearly impossible to find anything.

1. Is it possible to force my WR1 or WR2 to move to the slot in 3 wide sets? How?

2. Is it possible to have a DT play DT in a 43 and DE in a 34 if you're attempting a multiple front defense?

Thanks, guys. And thanks in advance for the patience needed to cover these depth chart questions again.

I'll start with #2 since it's easier. The answer is basically "Just no."

For #1, it's kind of tricky. If your 1 and 2 WR are close, the easiest way to make them play the slot every time is to just use the basic "WR" depth chart, and set it at whatever energy setting you need to ensure that your backups get enough PT.

Then, in the WR3 slot, put your 1/2 guy, and they'll play there no matter what.

There is a trickier way that is not nearly as consistent. Basically, you'd have to tweak the energy settings.

Use the WR1-WR5 slots, place your WRs normally, except for WR3. In WR3, put the 1 or 2 guys that you want to play there. Now, tweak your energy setings for WR3, and set it to something like 60/65.

Now, if you have the other spots with a relatively high in/out, like 99/98, there's a decent chance that your preferred slot guy is going to be subbed out during any given 3 WR set play, and since the WR3 sub settings are much lower, he'll go there.

Also, just to add, the chance of him playing in the slot will increase for every 3WR set that you run, since he'll continue to get tired every play, but will still be well within the range of the WR3 settings, and well below the range of the WR1/WR2 settings.

If you're that confident with your guys that you plan on putting in the slot, you can even set the WR3 energy at 5/10 or whatever you want, because I suppose most WRs actually will get down to that 60 energy by the end of a game.

Great stuff. Much appreciated.

You looking for an advisory GM position by any chance?

If there were more hours in the day, I would be, definitely.

I stay plenty busy with a main role on just 2 teams. (My other GM roles are "advisory" already lol).
