Well there's nothing wrong with trying to get value for players. In fact, it's the only way to ever get ahead. But I agree that I wouldn't want to sign a three-year deal with the possibility of being traded to a loser.

In an effort to involve more players, I have had different players act as DC and OC each season. When another player was asked to be DC and OC, Riggs removed himself from the GM list. I wasn't sure if Riggs was interested in being a Maroon any longer. We offered him a three year contract as he is the heart of our defense.
When he rejected the offer, we traded him. We received several offers and agreed to the one from the best team, turning down several other offers for more money. Riggs states this was a stealth trade, yet he claims he was aware of the trade prior to the contract offer. Which is it?
