http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1071247 is another thread on this subbject, but i beleive that a receiving fb would work about like a TE if he got the proper # of looks. I think your QB would have to be set to check down always though.

Or just make sure that there are passing plays set up for the FB. I know the first FB that I built was put in as a backup TE on his first team a couple of times and did fairl well, but you should be able to get good passing results for him out of the backfield as well.

My FBs dont like balls tossed thier way. 2 Balls a game is all they need. Give a man any more then 2 balls and he starts to get uppity.

Eventually, receiving should be somewhat of an option for full backs. Right now, there just aren't many plays at all, let alone ones where the FB isn't blocking. When we get a decent play selection and a more solid AI, I think a fast, high catching, tackle breaking FB could be a solid option. Definitely wouldn't recommend building that way now, but a few points in catching can't hurt and down the line you might want to work towards it.

There aren't a lot of plays for FBs, but there is a dump option in the offense. Set the option to dump and I bet the FB starts getting quite a few more looks.

I think the only decent FB pass play is the wheel route.
Probably the best option for a receiving FB would be to play backup FB, backup TE, and maybe 5th WR. It won't be a glory roll, but you could probably squeeze 30 catches or so out of it. I've only been able to do it fonce (season 3) with one of my FB and he racked up 35 catches.
I've just moved to a new team though with my FB in a backup TE & 5th WR role and managed 3 grabs for 44 yards in my first game, so there is hope.

Why not just make a WR for that?
