Here's the situation...I have 3 QBs and they all want as much time as possible. How do I set up the energy AI to ensure that they get it? Will this work for other positions that are 3 deep? What is the best way for 2 deep? Is 65/75 the best?

Your help would be greatly appreciated...

The best way for even rotation is actually to keep the energy levels very high. 99/100 would rotate almost every down.

We keep our HBs at 98/99, and their carries and plays are usually very even.

I think this would be fine for either 2 or 3 deep.

The biggest thing to remember is if you actually want even rotation is to keep the 2nd choice players out of special teams. ST plays will wear down their energy levels quite a bit, and normal down 'rotation' will favor the non-ST player.

You'd also want to make sure you weren't forcing your starters on 3rd downs, as that can throw off the balance a bit as well.

If you'd rather keep them in for long sequences at a time, if you set it something 50/100, the sim should wear out your starter, and then bring on the 2nd player and wear him out, and so forth. But depending on the quality of opposition, there is no telling what the number of plays for each would be.

So what are you recommending, to put the starters on special teams? Then wouldnt they be getting less plays?

I think what he means is to have enough depth that you don't use either the starter or second string.

Fuck that. There's no way you need that many players.

dude...chill man. No need to drop an f-bomb. It could be that he also means that you don't use back-ups from certain position groups.

3 QBs on 1 team,is IMO to many, 98/99 really would be the only setting you could use to spread the PT around.PT for each would be around 20ish for each.unless you have a very good ball control offense, which could increase the PT a little.
The stamina attribute would determine who would gain more PT.Would hinder/slow their development.

98/99 will split plays evenly between the three QBs. This also works for every other position that you want to split evenly.

And it's none of my business, but the guys above me that are recommending not having 3 QBs are right. Eventually, it will cost them XP and you will have QBs that are lower level than other teams in your league. Best of luck.

Yeah.. You won't get 75 plays every game on offense... Less than 25 each, and you're probably hurting their growth.

Thanks all...dropped one QB, now down to 2. Is it best to have only one QB? Or is it best to have 2 and shift the the split to favour the starter??

Two is fine. There are two schools of thought, and I won't get into it. Some people prefer 2 QB, some prefer 1. Both can work just fine.
