Agreed.

Their guys are level 30(slightly over or slightly under), money, no ugly losses and a stadium that is just about maxed out. That was what I was looking for when I put teams into the "Pro" section. A couple of teams had high leveled guys, but no money and a stadium that had a few more upgrades to go before it would be maxed out.

But as of now, I'm holding off judgment on who are "pro teams" until we officially hear what the proposed fix is.

That would probably be the smart thing. I'm just kinda bored at the moment with my league. And I haven't been on the forums lately and got in on this discussion a little late. Things are about to pick up a little though in my league(out of my next 8 I have 4 good playoff teams coming up).

I hope the proposed fix is the whole region is redone. Set Pro up with the 32 best teams in the region, AAA with the next 64 and go from there.

I've been following these threads for a few weeks now, watching people prop up their own teams and what not, and doing my best to avoid being "one of those guys."

Could LBT move up to Pro and compete? For sure. Would we continue on with our regular season domination the past 3 seasons, probably not.

But, to be quite honest, that's what I WANT. I dunno about the rest of you, since I don't know a lot of you in the pro-league, but I want to compete in a pro league where each and every game counts. Further, i don't care if you outlevel my team by 3-5 levels, i'm still going to scout and gameplan and try and find a way to beat you. That's just my nature, and quite frankly, my background in this game (for those that know about LBT's first season).

The things I would be looking at, as far as pro-teams in a re-organized league, would be a lot of the same things you guys are, but with a couple added components..

-Team activity - How active is the team overall? Last thing we need is more high level teams with a roster full of inactive players. I would assume that everyone wants 32 teams of 45+ players on the roster, who are all active. If that means passing on a couple l30+ teams to bring in a couple L28+ teams, so be it. Their can't be 16 16-0 teams. Just give me 16 teams that actively play the game, and the levels are close enough (30-40ish), and you've got yourself a pretty decent league.

-Success vs. Levels - How successful are teams vs. the levels they a) have on their own team and b) compete against. That, to me, is the telling sign of a good football team in GLB. Levels are great, but gimme the teams that are down 3-5 levels on average, but win games. Those are the owners, GM's and agents who will contribute to a strong, competitive league. Cappy knows my thoughts on where that comes from (my own team in OA6).

The reality is that this re-organization could really shake up the entire league, top to bottom, which would be a good thing. However, there has to be more thought behind it than the normal, high levels, high money, etc. There has to be factors taken into consideration that will contribute to a long lasting solution, not just a quick fix.

I still think, IMO, that Bort is missing the point, and that, eventually this is doomed to failure regardless. There just isn't enough of a level difference overall, from league to league, in order to truly have a A/AA/AAA/Pro structure. Frankly, it's silly considering that 2nd year expansion teams can have level 25-28 players on their team through mid season, thus eliminating any gap difference between say A and AA.

I was told once, in the general forum, that creating expansion teams that are forced to start at level 1, and doing away with the CPU D leagues, was a "non-sensical" issues. However, I still believe that this entire problem starts and ends there. Granted, that then moves naturally into a discussion about XP and leveling, but that's a topic for a different day.

Anyhow, if we were to be selected to be moved up, great. If not, great also. Regardless of where we are next season, we'll still compete, still have things to work on and still just try to be the best team we can be, without all the nonsense that takes place in forums.

Cheers

tbh i think shooting teams who have always been in the playoffs and competing will not be a fix, you come up after not domination but comfortable playoffs and force them to fight for the post season, many will quit

If people know what they are in for they may be less likely to quit. Maybe not.
