My DT has 70 STR and 63 AGI DT with 10 Shed Block.

I've found that SB honestly works better against the run game than pass rushing because the RB will get near you, you'll break the block, and tackle him. With the passing game, there's just a lot of quivering and shaking around done by the DT. I've recently set my DT to Evasive Pass Rush, we'll see what that does for him.

Well actually I just changed some equipment from all strength to splitting it between strength and agility and I saw my guy actually getting off blocks unlike before the change. Before he was getting pulled around by lower leveled guards and this past game he was actually getting off the blocks against a higher level guard and looks like he just needs some more speed and agility to get the sack. I'm definitely laying off strength for a while now and getting speed and agility up.

I have him on combo pass rush and sometimes I see him bull rush the G and just get stuffed and then I see him do evasive and kinda shoot though the gap or bounce off the guard which works a lot better than bull running.

if your character is a nt/dt and your wanting sacks make a new player and make it a DE nt/dt are not the sack makers. if you think they are your just diluding (however its spelled). Dt/nt are supposed to be doing 1 thing and thats clogging up the middle so they cant run if your constantly rushing that leaves holes in your defensive line and any decent RB will exploit that

I get sacks, I hold the LOS and I blow up run plays in the backfield as a DT. Stop trying to pigeonhole everyone into your idea of a DT.

Have you ever seen the Minnesota Vikings' DTs? They are dominant run-stoppers but they work their way into the backfield plenty as well.

+1 I have two teams with DT's that get sacks and shut down the run. Fanzy can keep on building the worthless Strength only guys

A NT on our team who won't open up his build gets results suspiciously like these. He is usually the team's leading tackler, sacker, hurrier, and TFL leader. League MVP twice. I couldn't figure out his build, but this might be the reason. My backup DT is nearing softcap in speed/agility, so I'll re-spec some equipment from strength into agility and see how it goes.

Well, in all fairness I do have str/agility build. My agility is higher than my str though.

You confuse me, why would you argue that a DT's job is to eat up Offensive linemen and then build an NT with good agility and crazy speed?

i made him that way to clog up the middle and be able to get through depending on what needs to be done his first and foremost thing is run stopping he has the agility and speed to be able to run down backs and the strength to fight off double and triple teams

NT SAs don't seem to do crap! Break Thru, yeah right. Wall SA, you still get pushed aside w/ high SA#s and 85+ strength.

I think a great NT that would actually makes plays would be 70 strength, 70 agility, soft capped speed and vision with pass rush SA's like Shed Block which will help beat those double teams more that Break Thru. Not so much to get sacks but to be dangerous to run the ball at because he'll beat blocks to be in position to make tackles.

Strength is worthless without agility backing it up. A good level 30+ C will have over 90 strength probably over 95 and high blocking as well. NT also needs agility at least to the 3 for 1 cap. The NT I'm building now should have 95 strength, 70 agility, and 60 tackling by level 32. Of course I'm not putting anything into SAs until he is level 25, then all sp from level 25 - 32 will go into SA.
