A juke is a double move. Picture you're running a route that's a deep slant to the sidelines.

Run 10 yards, Slant to the inside and then cut sharply to the outside after the CB has been pulled to the inside hard. Easy 3+ yard cushion.

Well I suppose you could think about it like that. But when we run a post-corner in real life we usually take 2 steps inside then go out. We only use a double move on like a stop and go. On slants we use a head fake.

I watched those replays for two seasons, amazed at what a bunch of points into HeadFake can get you.

I then create 2 RBs, to emulate this type of build.

Now HeadFake is basically useless.

How is that fair?

Bort sees people having fun, excelling with certain builds, he then takes them away - along with all of their wasted skill points.

That's the main thing, the wasted money and skill points. When we are building a player, we should be able to count on something working from one season to the next. We shouldn't have to worry about some certain SA/Attribute being rendered completely useless, just because some people had success with it.

Its a joke, hopefully you can now see where I'm coming from.

Look at those set of plays, now compare them to what the other poster showed us from this year.

There is no comparison.

And before you say that the defense has just built themselves up, my response to that is so have the RBs. In season 2, Tea Baggins was still pretty slow, so I'm guessing he didn't have a million points invested into Agility/HeadFake.

But now here I am, in Season 5, with over 60 Agility and 7 in HeadFake, and I can't do anything even resembling any of those plays. And yeah, I'm pretty sure that Tea Baggins did not have 60 Agility quite yet in Season 2, as he's not close to being as quick as my RB is.

Bort nerfed it - a lot. If this doesn't prove it, I don't know what will.

So basically you tried to take advantage of an exploit and it bit you in the ass?

o well?

Such an eloquent way to put it..

Thanks for finding the perfect words.

You should write for Hallmark.

Check these out, I think they are head fakes. Granted no freezing for a lengthy time but still...

I think he gets the FS and CB.

Check out the LB, it's either a really good head fake or a pancake?

On the FS again, although I think this is more of a juke, but why does the FS not move?

And yes, before anybody says it is against a teams CPU's. Big deal! IT's the only game this season where he has had the chance to use SA's.

Another factor could be that in season 2, Tea Baggins' competition was only around level 15. Both of your backs are playing in leagues with higher level competition, so they aren't going to be freezing as many people. As an owner, I ask that every single one of my defensive players not playing on the line softcaps Vision immediately after Speed and Agility, so that would be around level 13 or so. In season 2, I highly doubt that anybody knew enough about the game itself to have their entire defense organized to get 50 vision by that level, or there wouldn't have been a Tea Baggins.

Bort didn't nerf anything. There are SO many factors that play into your copycat build not working. Nothing ever works as well as the original.

-Defensive players started getting Vision and Agility up a lot faster than in season 2.
-You're playing against higher level competition than Tea did in his hayday.
-Not everything is 1-on-1. Just because you have 10 head fake and higher Agility than a defender doesn't mean that they'll automatically be fooled by a head fake.

I completely understand your frustration, but the idea is that if you see something succeeding one season and not being as effective the next, don't automatically jump to the conclusion that Bort mystery-nerfed it. Chances are, somebody found an answer to it and people started following that person to stop it. If anything, you should use it to your advantage.

For example, if you see Power Backs destroying everybody, make a Speed back that can run around the newly strong-but-slow defenders. If you see everybody with super fast WRs making incredible stats, make a Power WR to bowl over the now fast-but-weak corners defending him. It's all a matter of staying ahead of the curve.

Most people got too caught up in the highlights to realize that Tea Baggins has always been pretty mediocre against good teams.
