because Bort and DD are trying to figure out how to keep this game active and able to support all the players as it continuously grows.

They want people to have fair competition in the smoothest way possible. I can understand considering every improvement possible. But this wouldn't be an improvement. Frankly, there is only so much you can control. If you put team ownership in casual gamers' hands, you have to be prepared for them to stop playing.

We will all stop playing this game eventually. That's part of the natural risk. If you can't handle it, get out now. But there's no way to stop it from happening. Even good players sometimes have to give up their teams (See Dublin, Maz621, or even Mike as examples, in this league alone).

Without removing team ownership entirely, gut-jobs will naturally occur. If there is some way to give a) new owners the option of leaving the league they are in for one where they can be competitive, and b) consistent owners a way to 'jump' the relegation programming to fill their space, then fine. But that's a HUGE, time-consuming mess in itself. Frankly, they have a good system now. Leagues essentially break things up much like servers on Travian or Ikariam, but they leave open the ability to interact with everyone. I like that.

All the gay ass 'oh, I want to be in USA Pro so I can have my very own Philadelphia Eagles/New England Patriots/Los Angeles Rams/Baltimore Colts/Pottsville Maroons' stuff is childish.

Things are going well. This is just the lay of the land. At least it ain't Wall Street.
