I thought ours was a weird game. Very herky jerky, no real flow to it. And it seemed to me like Bort nerfed the power running game. And also, receivers can't catch the ball anymore. The don't drop it. The ball just hits them wide open for an incomplete pass.

The way RB's choose their path changed slightly. They move towards a hole now if they think it's open. It usually delays them and the hole is closed by the time they get there.

I don't like it, if I call off-tackle that's where I want it to go.

No offense, but I'm sick of playing Detroit. I gave up gameplanning for them 2 or 3 games ago.

Yeah we noticed some weird things too. Hard to tell what's going on just yet, but it was different than last season.

and it will change throughout the season. one thing Bort has shown is that he isn't afraid to tweak the game play in-season. if things are kinda screwy and enough people bitch about it, a change will be made.

I know. I don't like that aspect of the game. I know it is a beta, but with thousands of people and hundreds of thousands of dollars flowing through this thing, the have to pay more attention to the players here right now. I want them to keep experimenting, but they should balance that out with the need to be consistent for a whole season.

+1 the crap of changing thing half way or 3/4 quarters thru a season suck!!! then the next season it all changes again

I don't mind things changing from season to season so long as what changes is posted about. I acknowledge that this IS a beta game, no matter how much people claim it isn't due to the money aspect - but its distinctly not a finished product.

I totally agree though that changes need to be made in the off-season, not mid-way. And when changes are made, they /all/ need to be documented in at least some detail in an easy to find spot by someone with technical writing proficiency and an understanding of the changes made.

Likewise, they need to save Bort's valuable time so he can concentrate on the game, and hire at least one person to be fully dedicated to addressing gutting and complaints in a professional manner, and one or two people dedicated to customer service.

I am 100% ok with being a beta tester. I'm 100% ok with them calling an unfinished product 'beta' - it is. But if they're going to have people paying to be beta testers they should respect the investment, let them test things consistently for blocks of time - called seasons here, roll out changes, document those changes and make the testers aware of them in a consistent and professional manner, and then let those be thoroughly tested.
The only time something /needs/ to be tweaked mid-season is true bugs like the issue last season of players randomly running off the field.

I noticed a problem with pitch plays. It was like the QB couldn't get it to the RB correctly.

None of them happened to my team, but still, it didn't look right.

I was happy with my team's come from behind victory.
