Yeah, Houghton actually plans to compete this year. If we have the time we may even pop by the forums here and there now that we are finally part of the league (I hope) At least to win enough get people to come to the games and increase ticket prices. We even have vague hopes of getting to the playoffs. It took us three years to get to this start at being competitive and we're still having financial problems but the team are good guys and their patient with me.

The stadium is finally trending in the right direction and that was key. Starting a team with no players and 900k is muy difficult.

(We're 1-0 from luck but we'll take what we can get)

We made our own luck though Go Gremlins!

It's taken a lot of patience and broken bones and sore asses, but the Gremlins are shaping up to be decent fellas now We'll give anyone a nice challenge at the least.

Was more just commenting on the difficulties of rebuilding around here, and that it's funny all 3 "cupcakes" ended up in the same division this season. But at least Michigan has humans now ... they're on the right track.

I, for one, was really hoping the West would have gotten a cupcake team this season. It does seem like the Western Conference of USA BBB #15 is the hardest conference to rebuild a team from scratch, but that could be off base. I would wager that an abandoned team in the Pro League would retain some of its players due to the fact it's a Pro Team or AAA if it gets relegated.

I do know that many USA A leagues are very similar to this league - hardly any difference at all as a matter of fact when you consider relegation and promotion.

Also the Rocky Mountain Thunder, while not totally gutted when the owner took command last season, are set to make some noise this season.

Could make things a bit more interesting out West.

Its not impossible to rebuild in bbb15, its definitely not easy but it can be done. There wasn't really an easy road in the East when we did it. Rebuilding isn't exactly going to be easy for them either, getting to the playoffs in the East isn't a picnic.

No, but three automatic victories certainly wouldn't hurt your chances.

Except everyone gets those. The East is still the place where not that long ago, two 9-7 teams missed the playoffs.

Yeah, like all things, it goes in cycles.
