It's not something I do often, but aside from its limited effectiveness... what coverage shell and underneath coverage should be used?

If I use zone coverage and blitz CB1, will the ROLB slide over and cover short while the FS covers long? If I use Cover 0, will the FS man up on the WR?

For me it depends on what defensive formation I'm in and what CB I'd like to send.

From what I've seen your correct on the zone/man coverage.

I use Cover 2 Man Under, and the CB blitz works about 66.66666% of the time

I had a 4-3 Cover 1 Man Under set where CB 2 blitzed and was a step or two away from a sack today (got the hurry, ended in an incompletion) - simmed today.

SS stepped up and covered the WR for the CB.

Finally had some success today; 1 sack and a hurry from CB in the same game.

If it works 66% of the time why dont you do it all the time? a sack 2 out of 3 plays is a pretty good ratio if you ask me.

Any cover less than 2 will put a DB on the WR you're leaving open (Cover 2 generally puts the MLB on him, so if your safeties are even close to your CBs in coverage skill, it's not much of a gamble. And of course, good luck running a pitch right or even off-tackle right (though the recent changes might have fixed that).

Why try CB Blitz? CB seems to slow on the first step when he's assigned for Blitz. SIM seems to have OG screening much quicker to block the blitz.
