SPEED. Can't block anyone with 9 speed and also agility.

Even them out? What ratio is enough?

I would normally concur, but with the new changes coming down the pipe, training kind of got changed. You might be ok doing that, but at 9 speed, you're pretty much worthless on the field.

Agree with most of the above, but why, why, why did you save up 39 SPs?

Speed - Vision. AGL can wait but without correcting speed you are a season away from producing.

33 speed is good. Our backup FB, Mine is the starter, has speed in the 30s, and i am at 41. He has more ypc and more yards as the backup. But we make the energy settings so there is equal playing time. he also has about 70 broken tackles last season. 17 in one game.

Speed is not an attribte that gets improved with every level up. So on a slow build you can save it for last because you can always train to 20 rather easily then start dumping the SP into it.

Depends on what you want, rushing or blocking or balanced.

I started before the slow build concept and I went for balanced until i hit baout level 9. Then i added lots of speed. then last season i capped agility and strength early on. That helped A LOT.

Get your speed to 20 so you have something to work with, then put the rest into agility. Think of agility as acceleration.

It sucks FBs don;t have the first step SA, ebcause we have no acceleration off the line. Which is why I am waiting for that special equipment where you can get an SA that is not on your tree. i would buy first step equip and try to get it to 3 as soon as possible.

OH, don't put too muc in blocking. Blocking makes you able to hold your block longer, strength is for pancakes. If you have 30 blocking that is good for your career. Unless your HB has 9 speed and you need to hold a block for 10 seconds. But if you can pancake a guy and then move to another defender, then you are an awesome FB.

Here is my order:
Stength: Cap ASAP (train agility to 19 during this time)
Agility: Cap ASAP (train speed after agility is at 19 and throughout this time)
speed/vision: alternate SP points per level up until you are at about 30 in each (train carrying during this time)
Carrying: get it to 30 and get cover up to 3 and your fumbles will be few and far between. I have 34 (4 in cover up) and never fumbled once in the reg season for season 4.
blocking: just train this one

THats my recommendation, its just a rough figure that I am using with my new FB. Some tweaking will probably happen.

Yes speed being that low will hurt you, but if you are in a d league it won't matter. But 25 is the absolute minimum.

Vision makes the difference between blocking at the line during a pitch play, and actually leading the HB around the tackle.

Oh, I say carrying is important because of fumbles and my team uses the FBs as rushers a lot more than normal.

If your team doesn't rush the FBs more than 10% of the time, carying will not be needed as much, maybe 2 points in cover up.

But if you run the FBs 30% of the time, you need carrying because you are looking at 8-12 carrys a game...and thats whith splitting the starting and backup evenly like my team.

GreatPuma - Hikarius FB was Slow Build - but we're now playing competivly now - this is my FB -the other one on the Team.I've got another one 2 levels higher and found the transition to a playing ,Blocking Back, build difficult.My other one took SPE to soft Cap after STRE & BLO - this one I took AGI.
However don't think it was such a good idea - should have gone for a more even playing build.
