That's a big no.

Changelog entries in the last three years:

Sep 11, 2013
- Added routes to all plays that were missing routes for HB/FB, and updated the routes on a few others to improve them (our thanks to bhall for suggestions) - may require clearing browser cache for updated images to show up

Jul 19, 2013
- Cleaned up a couple more occasional bugs with tackler pursuit math

Jul 17, 2013
- Fixed a few outside running plays which had broken lead blocker focus targets
- Adjusted and cleaned up tackler pusuit method to help deal with some issues with path consistency and tacklers bumping into each other

Jul 12, 2013
- Fixed bug #52: WR runs off field on HB Screen Left play(s)

May 20, 2013
- Fixed a minor math bug on zone coverage positioning
- Added 5-2 and 4-4 Big formations to defensive play creator

Wow, basically nothing has changed. Thanks.

We are all open to our own opinions, but I'd rather have 90 + 30 = 120 confidence with HoAC and 70 strength than have 95 strength and 60+30=90 confidence on a QB.

I think this is where many of us fail in the end on many a build. We do 3 things wrong. #1, we don't fully plan out the builds. And I mean EVERYTHING. What each skill's number you want to end at. What SA's you plan on using most and where do you want them to end up. How many BT's will you need to get the AEQ you want (even if you shop, this is still important to have a good pessimistic number in hand). When do you need to switch over to light training to reach your goals. I can keep going but I think you get the picture. You don't have to be 100% accurate but be pessimistic when guessing. Better to come up with too much than not enough. #2, STICK to that plan! So many times we chase a cheap low level trophy by boosting early and causing the end result to be not as good. #3, Don't believe the hype/negativity about some things. I cannot tell you how often people post(ed) that Confidence is a trash skill that nobody should put points into. Ever seen a kicker with no confidence? You really want him on your team with the game on the line? If Confidence was so worthless how come we see it on many a World League build? Also, there is such a thing as 'Too Much' skill. A QB with 100+ strength sure looks pretty but what other important skills suffered because so many SP's and so much training was spent to get that number? Nuke Laloosh can throw a 100 MPH fastball... too bad he has no idea where it's going. Maybe 88 strength gets you that agility and other skills up so that your passes arrive WHERE they're supposed to more often. Don't get hooked on 'perfection'... find the best balance and you'll have a great dot that works well and is a lot of fun.

I have to agree about OTK from my experience. OTK is not a good skill really at all. How many times do you see a game go into overtime? And the boost it might give you at 30 seconds in the 4th quarter cannot be counted on since you also have to be within 7 to get it. Its my personal opinion OTK is a wasted VA.

Its a great VA to put a single point into.

Perhaps a single point, but IMO second wind is a better option for a 1 point VA.

What is "YAC". It appears to be an of all "yards after catch", not a total. In other words, if my dot has two catches where the dot is immediately tackled after the catch (zero YAC), and one screen pass where the dot runs for 60 yards for a TD, the YAC reported on the stats would be 20 (60 divided by 3). Is this correct?

At what level is it good to start shopping for AEQ?

yes
60 yrds from point of catch. Then assuming caught screen pass on, or behind, the line of scrimmage.

A well respected point of view but not universally held. Myself it's level 31 and beyond but it's tied to WHAT dot I'm shopping for and how many BT's I have when I start shopping. I won't shop with less than 137 BT's in hand. I have a valid mathematical reason for that if the questioneer desires to know it I can PM him my notes. WHAT dot also matters since some archetypes are MUCH harder to shop for than others. In fact, there's a few specialty dots I wouldn't even shop for... I would just build the AEQ. Prime Example is a RQB built in the Power Back style. Generally speaking, you just won't get high quality pieces when shopping. The best you can hope for is a +3 to primary skill piece you can upgrade as you want. At least you save a little BT's doing that.

Does your level depend on the quality of the EQ you're shopping for?

Lvl 31 - 4 pieces
Lvl 41 - 5 pieces
Lvl 51 - 6 pieces
etc

More chances with more pieces of equipment when you spend your BT's that you might get that % or +3 piece that you want.

I never actually noticed that. Thank you!
