Everyone crying that there is no young dots to feed the future WL teams need to man up and start building some dots.
Give some of the customers what they want (insta79's) and you punish the other customers that enjoy building a dot from rookie to pro(yes they exist, just cause they don't post in forums does not make them extinct).
Not only that, but all we would have is all these lvl79's be built EXACTLY the same. Spending the time to take a dot from rookie to pro allows possibilities to mess up along the way. Everyone asking for insta 79 is just wanting it the easy way. Well if you want it the easy way you should be penalized for getting it while the ones doing it the more difficult and traditional way should not be. Call it a reward for taking the time and effort to build a dot for MONTHS.

Next thing people are gonna demand is a script so they can just click a button and *POOF* there is their lvl79 1550SPV pHB. That is not gonna help make this game better again, it will just kill it faster.

It takes a year, whatever else you wrote contradicts what is actually happening, this is not popular anymore, and anyone and almost everyone only cares about the end game, the Pro promotion, the real dots in their end stage keep playing until the FP is out, not the other way around. Bane, you can't be that naive of this huge decline in popularity??

I don't believe this is true. We both know we're discussing something that will never happen anyway, but I believe there should be a slight penalty for an instadot. Something like no 25th boost SP bonus and some number (100 to throw one out) fewer training points. People would still be able to build a WL quality player, and one that could fill a team need (or a build experiment). Freaks like me would still build the traditional way to get the maximum potential. Those that hate the leveling could skip it and still have a very viable player (just not the theoretical best player). When teams have a specific position they can't find a suitable recruit for they could fill it immediately. I do agree that if you make the penalty too harsh there is really no point in giving us the option anyway.

You don't care, because you can create a dot to replace them.

Because people will cry like a bitch. I suggested allowing PW teams to sign appropriate lvl dots after the season has started to replace inactives and the PW mafia blew a gasket.

Extending plateau on dots is probably more realistic, cuz most won't wanna pay $80 at once for a QB/HB/WR. Jeez GLB is expensive, lol.

I agree with this....kinda would defeat the purpose especially if the penalty affected him in a negitive way and kept the player from getting on a World League team

Yeah, not to single out Bane but ALL of the "there MUST be a penalty" crowd is just clueless on this issue. The game isn't as popular as it once was, and a significant amount of the flex purchasers that remain prefer the end-game, not the mind-numbing YEAR that it takes to GET to the end-game. Give the customers what they want--continuing on in the direction we're going certainly isn't go to grow the game nor stall its rate of decline.

How in the bloody hell do you know what all the remaining flex purchasers prefer?

They should do this, that way the peopl in this thread that enjoy their lvl79's so much can just keep them going longer and not have to retire due to decline.

i think they could speed up the player building again. do 5 and 7 instead of 7 and 5

The long wait to build a player right now is the most boring part of the game.

But honestly one of my biggest complaints is the fact there's no "auto-equipper" with all the dots i build it would be nice to not have to go in every 8 levels and manually upgrade 4 pieces of equip....

That's 1 simple suggestion of a new "feature" that could be implemented to keep the game fresh.

I really dont think there needs to be sim changes if they want to leave the sim as is.....just implement bug fixes/features every season and continue to re-org the leagues to what makes sense.

it would be cool if the sim was tweaked a little bit each season artificially so that things would just change from the norm....it would allow people to feel an interest into researching plays and trying out things to see what might be better...

That is a never ending dance though, they tweak it to nerf powerbacks a bit and then 5 seasons from then they will have to nerf speed backs and we are back to where we started.

I get a lot less people talking to me about sim stagnant frustrations, as they are upset about just the general ignoring of the game alltogether, who knows, when they are done w/ Brawlers maybe they swing back and put in a few of the "ideas" that were voted high, but imo they should at least do a few updates/fixes every season.

Seems to me like the penalty is that you only get to enjoy your dot for a few seasons as opposed to a whole career.
