This is kind of true. I think the only way to keep players here would be to hold the flex captive and not make it transferable to the new game.

Yes, but if they do that, then they run the VERY HIGH risk of severely pissing off the current user base, which will in turn cause said current user base to give GLB the proverbial middle finger and just quit playing all together. I know I would....if they pulled that, I would retire every single one of players, sell every one of my teams, never pay another dime for EITHER of the games, and never play another down of GLB...then they would be right back to where they were when GLB 1 first started and they'd have to try and build a whole new consumer/user base. I call us "consumers", because, let's be honest....we're not customers to GLB, we just consume copious amounts of flex that are purchased with our hard earned money that we will never get back. At least as a "customer", you have a short amount of time to return whatever you purchased for a full refund.

the refund when you retire dots is there to compell you to keep playing. i could never bring myself to walk away until ive used up all my flex. but i still have fun with the game, and i make commitments to people that im not going to back out on. they would have to shut this game down, and the new game would have to suck for me to stop playing. and even then, as long as the forums are still fun ill still keep coming back

With the refund, you will never use up all of your flex. People just keep buying & buying because they need more flex to boost their players. The only real way to ever use it up is if they made it to where your dot reaches Level 79, and then it get's TRULY retired and you don't get any of that flex back.

Is that a feature or a bug?

I like building individual dots, so I will more than likely just stay here till it dies. If I get chosen to test the new game I will definitely give it a shot, but will keep my flex right here where I truly enjoy the game already.

I think NES Tecmo Bowl is going to sue Bort over 2.0.

Before they do, I'm gonna build an elusive back like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PBvOxicz-0

Is GLB your first game?

That's kind of how the gaming industry has gotten by for the past two decades.

I mean, I'm fairly certain that Activision isn't still working surviving off of making slight tweaks to the original Call of Duty every few months.

Rockstar just released Grand Theft Auto 5 that is selling like crazy.

Somebody should have told them that was stupid since GTA4's sales are dwindling next to nothing.
