well i originally thought we were dropping down based on conversation with madmustaff, but i think he mistakenly thought this team wasn't going to be able to stay.

No idea why you are saying this. A rather unfair comment in my opinion. What we deserve or not is not really that interesting. It is not a free pass. It is the rules for moving teams in GLB. That you think the rules are wrong is a completely different story, I can certainly understand that side of the argument.

hays and I have no special relation, so I am convinced that they are not dropping down to give us a spot. He just let me know that it was the plan so we could setup our team accordingly. I thought that was a very nice gesture of him and it was much appreciated (the last time we stayed on a bort exemption we had already made a bunch of roster moves and killed our chemistry, something that is not an issue in the Pros, but comes back to bite you hard in the WL)

Now it looks like we have to rearrange again and let dots go that just signed contracts based on us being in the World League.

Anyway, it is what it is and this is just a game.

You can say a lot about Alpine not living up to their potential, but I think you'll find it hard to argue that they haven't put out competitive teams in the WL. Keeping a team that consistently gets 7 to 9 wins in the WL is probably better than whatever else is next in line

Continuously failing to make the playoffs is an accomplishment?

If they are providing competitive games then that's really what we all want (Alpine incl.). You're just mad as usual.

Golan's point is that Alpine hasn't been a sub-2 win team where they are a free win that week. No one wants that.

Alpine won less games than two different teams in decline this season, and they've failed to make the playoffs every single time they've received the free pass (which they've gotten significantly more times than anyone else). A team that replaced them wouldn't be "a sub-2 win team" either, you're just making excuses and arguing with me because you're a clown who would argue with me about anything.
